Successful Sutton was set up by local businesses in 2012 as a Business Improvement District (BID) – a business-led, not-for-profit company Sutton BID Map representing, serving and working to improve Sutton town centre for businesses, visitors and local residents. Levy Maps Successful Sutton is incorporated as a not-for-profit Bid Area 2012-2017 company limited by guarantee. The company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association and copies of audited accounts are available at www. successfulsutton.co.uk All levy paying businesses are Proposed 2017-2022 Levy Area automatically members of the BID and are encouraged to put themselves forward to sit on Successful Sutton’s board and operational sub-groups. Successful Sutton is accountable to businesses paying the levy. The results are measured through the following Key Performance Indicators: • Financial savings to businesses • Crime statistics • Footfall statistics • Social media followers and reach • Website visits / media coverage • Ecard and newsletter open rates / click-throughs • Shop vacancy rates

Baseline Agreements

Formal agreements are signed with Sutton Council to provide a clear understanding of baseline services provided by Sutton Council, allowing Successful Sutton to provide services above and beyond those currently provided by the council. Our existing agreements and draft agreements for 2017–22 can be found on our website.

Accreditation

In 2014 Successful Sutton received the British BIDs Accreditation which recognises exemplary management and financial practices, transparency, accountability and business engagement. Successful Sutton provides a high return on investment for BID payers, communicates effectively and has strong governance by our Board of Directors.
