THE LABRO MUSEUMS The Labro museums consist of The Norwegian watercourse museum, The Numedalslågen’s timber floating museum and The Norwegian road museum, department Labro. The Norwegian watercourse museum is situated in Labro power station. It has the production of hydroelectric power as its main theme.

The Numedalslågen’s timber floating museum illustrates the importance of wood and timber in Numedals watercourse. LÅGDALSMUSEET IN KONGSBERG Lågdalsmuseet is a heritage museum for Kongsberg, Sandsvær and Numedal. It is located in the fields of old Glitre Gård, just five minutes walk from the town centre. In summer season, traditional farm animal breeds graze in the fields.

The main building houses a gallery, various exhibitions and workshops used by some of Kongsberg’s tradesmen. SAKKERHUSKROA IN SAGGRENDA

The restaurant Sakkerhuskroa is located in Saggrenda, close to the Silver Mines. Sakkerhusene was traditionally housing the miners during the work week. The buildings was renovated and reopened as a restaurant in 1994. You can enjoy Norwegian traditional food inside or outside in the garden. THE NORWEGIAN MINING MUSEUM / SILVER MINES Norwegian Mining Museum displays exhibitions within mining, industry, coins and skijumping. The museum’s main attraction is its silver collection. It represents the largest collection of native silver anywhere in the world.

Join a train ride that takes you 342 meters below the surface and 2.3 kilometers into the mountain. Inside the King’s mine, there is a guided tour for 1.5 hours. Cool down with a dip in the river LĂĽgen or swim in Saggrenda which consists of well-tended river water, where there are sandy beaches, water games and barbecue possibilities. There is also a solar cell charging station for small electronics and electric bikes. Kjennerudvannet is also an idyllic pond at Lurdalen with beautiful hiking areas. VISIT KONGSBERG CHURCH Kongsberg church is the largest baroque-church in Norway. The church was built in 1761 and has a modest exterior, but a rich rococo interior with e.g. the glass chandeliers, ceilingpainting and Gloger organ.
