Zona Imaginaria is a space dedicated to freedom, intersection , chance, and playing. Art here is the structure that enables that enables the meeting and symbolic exchange of those involved. In 2008, Zona opens the artistis ´residency “ Who can live in this house? “ and workshops, for adults and children, artists from around the world and from the community of Villa Jardín, San Fernando, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The combination of these activities is what has shaped it throughout its history and what defines it today.
Photography and non-toxic gravure
Specially oriented in graphics and new printmaking techniques, the Workshop seeks to relate the production of each artist with the context of contemporary art, researching and reflecting on new technologies, non-toxic gravure, digital art and media. At the same time resident artists can freely participate in the workshops, thus promoting interesting exchange encounters with local students.
The workshops are free for the neighbors of Villa Jardín; we aim to exhaust all resources for the exploration and development of their imagination, to exercise their sensitivity and develop critical thinking. Art is the vehicle that enables the encounter between the community and the artists in residence at the house.

Who can live in this house?
We open the doors of the House and invite artists from different disciplines, countries, cultures, backgrounds, histories and ages to take the space as a temporary home, to intervene it, inhabit it, manipulate it. We also invite critics, artists, curators, neighbors and nearby industries reflect and enable a dialog with the neighborhood and to “open the doors” to new concepts of “society” and “sponsorship” to art, from art.
More than 99 artists have passed through Zona’s house, 37 artists from different provinces of Argentina and 66 international artists from all around the world.
Vegetable Garden + bio-workshops
ZI works relating art to nature through different projects and workshops. Green Zona began in 2008 with the making off the vegetable garden in the sidewalk of the House. The garden brings together the transformation force of our nature, as well as the care and preservation of the environment. Other actions are carried out in relation to environmental care, natural nutrition, among others, always relating the resident artist with the community of Villa Jardín. We are carrying out a project to develop a community green space, planting trees in conjunction with other organizations, as schools and companies.
