Baneh Kilim Baneh Kelims werden in 40-50 cm breiten ­Bahnen gewoben und am Schluss zusammen­ genäht. Durch dieses Verfahren, können ­beliebig grosse Masse angefertigt werden.

Einen besonderen Wert wird auf die Ausarbeitung der Abschlusskanten gelegt. Diese weisen meist sehr fein gewobene Verzierungen auf, welche teilweise auch im Kelim eingewoben werden.

Traditionell wurden sie nur in zwei Farben her­ gestellt. Zollanvari ermunterte die Leute, sie auch in verschiedenen Farben zu produzieren.

Dies garantiert ihnen ein Einkommen und eine alte Tradition bleibt erhalten.

Die verwendete Wolle stammt aus der Provinz Kurdistan und wird von Hand gesponnen und verzwirnt.

Zum Färben werden ausschliesslich natürliche Farbstoffe aus Pflanzen verwendet.

Baneh Kilims are woven into 40–50 cm wide ribbons and finally stitched together. Through this procedure any size can be made.

Particular emphasis is placed on the elaboration of the weave endings. Those endings show mostly a very finely woven ornament which is also partly woven into the Kilim.

Traditionally they have only been produced in two colors. Z ­ ollanvari encouraged the people to also make them in various colors. This way their wages have been guaranteed and an old tradition is sustained.

The wool they use originates from the province of Kurdistan. It is hand-spun and plied.

Exclusively natural vegetable colors are used for dyeing.
