BRIGITTE BARDOT & SAINT-TROPEZ : UNE IDYLLE

Sensuelle, libre, provocante et engagée Brigitte Bardot a révolutionné les mœurs et représente la femme dans toute sa splendeur, symbole de la féminité dans “Et Dieu créa la femme”, peinte par Andy Warhol et de nombreux artistes, première célébrité représentante du buste Marianne : Bardot est adulée par le monde entier. Du 23 juin au 31 octobre 2010, l’artiste la plus convoitée au monde sera au centre de tous les regards à l’occasion d’une exposition qui lui est entièrement dédiée à l’Espace Rendez-Vous des Lices. L’Office de Tourisme et la Ville de Saint-Tropez, en collaboration avec Akouna Production lui rendent hommage. Des milliers de photos, films, documentaires et objets personnels jamais dévoilés au grand public retracent son univers mythique.

UNE EXPOSITION IMMERSIVE

L’histoire d’amour entre BB et Saint-Tropez commence lorsque ses parents achètent une maison dans le joli village du Sud de la France. Pendant le tournage de «La Femme et le Pantin», Brigitte achète la Madrague sur la route des Canebiers à Saint-Tropez en 1958 et contribue à faire de ce village déjà très apprécié des artistes un endroit de légende international par sa seule présence et par les folles nuits tropéziennes qu’elle anime. Saint-Tropez a ainsi le plaisir d’accueillir l’exposition Bardot pendant l’été 2010. L’exposition s’attachera tout particulièrement au lien unique entre une femme et la ville, à travers des photos et des objets inédits. Réalisée grâce au soutien de Brigitte Bardot et aux prêts de collectionneurs, d’institutions et d’artistes internationaux, de personnalités ayant jalonné la vie de l’actrice, l’exposition met en scène sur les 800m² de l’Espace Rendez-Vous des Lices, le Saint-Tropez et la vie de celle qui fascinera le monde des années 50 à 70.

Une occasion unique de découvrir l’univers fascinant de l’artiste colombien dont l’œuvre repose sur les enseignements de l’histoire de l’art et sur sa propre culture. S’inspirant des sujets mythologiques et classiques L’enlèvement d’Europe, Maternité, Femme Allongée, ses sculptures, pleines d’énergie, nous surprennent par leur qualité d’exécution, le bronze bien brillant, parfaitement lisse et patiné, et par leur taille souvent gigantesque. Saint-Tropez Town in collaboration with Monaco’s Malborough gallery is proud to present four of artist Fernando Botero’s giant sculptures. L’exposition montrera Rodin sous l’influence du fauvisme. Les innombrables dessins au crayon, rehaussés ou non de lavis ou d’aquarelle qu’il réalisa à l’automne de sa vie ne sont pas des projets pour des sculptures mais une œuvre à part entière. La réintroduction de la couleur par touches finit par envahir la feuille faisant parfois disparaître le trait d’origine et tend à transformer le dessin en peinture. Le Musée de l’Annonciade, temple de la couleur, se devait de présenter l’œuvre aquarellée de Rodin. Since Easter 2010, the Annonciade will be presenting a major figure of late 19th and early 20th century art : Rodin. Sculptures, water colours and gouaches. The exhibition shows Rodin under the influence of fauvisme. The numerous pencil drawings that he produced early on, highlighted or not with water coloring, were not projects for sculptures but a separate works. The re-introduction of colors in touches ends up invading the picture, sometimes disguising the original line and tending to transform the drawing into a painting. The Annonciade Museum, the temple of color, is the perfect place for admiring Rodin’s water colored works. 13
