Swinburne Design Factory project with Alfred Hospital Designer and reseacher (Aug 2015 - Nov 2015) in a team of 5, using design thinking as the main method to come across wicked problems. The processes include: secondary research, interviews, prototyping, focus groups and final systhesis and implement. Working closely with the healthcare professionals, we finally made out the designframework and found out the touchpoint to prevent patient falls.

Background Patient falls are a common problem in hospitals globally. Falls can have serious physical, psychological and economic consequences for both patients and healthcare professionals.

This issue has been recognised for many years and many strategies have been used to address it. However, fall rates remain high.
