Shabby chic is considered to be a style of interior decorating that blends vintage and cottage elements in soft, romantic colors and textures to create an elegant, yet worn and welcoming look.

What is shabby chic furniture?

Shabby Chic Furniture combines elements of vintage and modern styles to create an elegant yet worn look. It is characterized by its use of soft colours, gentle textures, natural materials and romantic appeal with a country-cottage.

When it comes to shabby chic, many people fall in love with the usage of soft colours, whites, and light pastel shades like pale pink, powder blue, lavender, mint green, and beige.

It gives a new sense of calm, relaxing colors such us shades of blue, white, light brown, tan, blue-grey, and blue-greens were very popular.

Textures

Since the style was inspired by the natural elements shabby chic furniture were known for its rustic look and texture, while the use of steel, bronze, and marble gave us the shiny smooth look.

the heavy dark wood used gave us the hard texture, while the smooth painted walls gave us the opposite, but because of the minimalistic movement, most of the space were visually comfortable, and every texture used goes well with the others.

Materials

A lot of the natural materials were used, starting from the marble flooring, and countertops colors beige, grey and black.

2000’s style won’t complete without the metallic shine, from the microwaves, ovens, freezers and refrigerators.
