“A space inspired by platforms, where instead of running trains are running ideas” The rail-inspired corridors
CONCEPT 3.
An open plan space can be devided by different elements rather than by walls. In this particular design proposal painted floor lines will define and devide tha space, as well as connect the areas that have been designed to have similar use. The tables of the main spacewill be a continuous element to the rail-inspied corridors and they can be correlated to the train coaches. They will connect the people and induce them to share their ideas and work together, similar to the train rails that connect destinations. The first rail-inspired corridor will start from the main entrance in order to drive the people inside the workspace.
The meeting rooms The design of the meeting rooms will refer to the trains’ forward and backward movements, defined by different lenght and height of each room. A decorative cork material line inspired by the train map lines, will separate the clear from the sandblasted glazed facade. The use of sandblasted glass isolates people from the rest space, while at the same time connects them with the whole space because it does not obstracts visibility. The clear glass gives the idea of an open and naturally lit up space. A part of the gound floor room’s facade will be covered with cork material that can be used as pin up presentation board.

“A space inspired by a blanc canvas, where people can empty their minds from thoughts and relax�
The Cafe area The Cafe space could be mainly a white space related to a blanc canvas. A space, where someone can empty his mind from thoughts and relax. The amphitheatric sitting area will reinforce communication and connection between the people. A line that connects the Radio room with the Cafe will continue inside the Cafe area and it will be defined by different elements. It will create a space frame as a reference to the canvas frame. A Printing room will be located in the middle of the space. It will be a separate space within the space including printing machines and a computer desk. There will be access on both sides, while its position on the space relates to a painting on canvas.
