on Bajau Laut Typology Settlement with Modernist
Architectural Case Studies
We were assigned to design grouping of 14 member. We are required to do a site study at Pulau Omadal, Semporna Sabah. Additionally, each group to further sub-divide into 2 sub-groups: Modernist architecture and Bajau Laut Settlement.
I am required to design a craft machine space within 30sqm – 40 sqm for my client. This space is designed to accommodate 2 person.
Study space facing the sea so the client can have a good view of the site while manifesting inspiration.
Partitions to separate with the working space personal space.

Folding window that gives a feeling of recreation vibe and provides good ventilation and sunlight penetration.

1. Coordinates: 4°25'27" N and 118°46’5” E
2. Gentle topography
3. Near the school
4. Wind comes from southwest and west
5. Near a forest which can be the source of materials
6. The village is powered by solar generator and the water is contributed by reverse osmosis.

This is the continuation of the Craft Machine space that students have designed in Project 2. The studio space requirements must be tailored to suit the specific needs of your chosen Client. The size of the Studio Retreat is 100sqm -120sqm (accommodating 3-4 people at one time)

I have designed a client can enjoy his his family here while

Having inclined walls and curvy roof. There is a outer resting area that is surrounded by columns of timber and covered with curtains for privacy if needed.
A foldable window that can be open to the top and act as a shield from the sunlight. Toilet that is opened to the outside view but still gives privacy to its user,
Designing a new Chinese style door and window. Focus more on the openings of the house.
Round entrance that gives out a traditional Chinese vibe when entering the bedroom. The bedroom is a box that really gives out a different atmosphere so that the client can detach himself from work.
