Having exited the Eurozone bank aid programme and officially out of recession, Spain is in an infinitely better place than it was 12 months ago. Its retail, manufacturing, automotive and service sectors are all significantly on the up. Obama has applauded the country’s labour reforms, the IMF has tripled its growth forecast for the Spanish economy and foreign cash is once more fuelling investment fever in Spanish property. 60 million foreign holidaymakers visited Spain last year, resoundingly smashing its tourist records, while also impressively overtaking China as the 3rd most visited country in the world.
