Howard Rooks, Jane Hunter and Amore, the bear
Meet Amore
Jane Hunter, of the Rotary Club of Longboat Key, recently presented Amore by Andrea owner Howard Rooks with a teddy bear that sings “That’s Amore” as a thank you from the club. “Howard has been so good to us with the Rotary Club, and I found this beautiful bear that sings the name of his restaurant, so I wanted to present it to him, especially since Amore just celebrated its first anniversary,” Hunter said. At the Rotary Club’s Veterans Day Parade, Rooks served pizza to 70 members of the Sarasota High School Mighty Sailor Band. “He is so giving and thoughtful,” Hunter said. “All the wonderful things he’s done over the past year for the neighborhood is amazing.”
