Thank you for your service Sarah Bock, an Exceptional Student Education teacher at B.D. Gullett Elementary School, has found another reason to have her students write letters to those serving in the military. “There were four people from my church, Braden River United Methodist, who enlisted,” Bock said. “So my students were actually able to have specific names on their letters.” Bock said she hopes the students receive some replies to make the whole process more personal.

Fields of bright red berries proved to be perfect for Temple Emanu-El’s Strawberry Fields Shabbat on March 4 at Hunsader Farms. Those who attended used the event to give thanks for nature while they picked strawberries, fed farm animals, ate a picnic breakfast, prayed and sang Shabbat (day of rest) songs.
