Tony Milen, the owner of Clear Sunset Car Wash on State Road 64 in Bradenton, donated $1 to Homes for Our Troops for every car washed at his business from Nov. 11 through Nov. 17. Milen met with disabled veteran Carl Moore, pictured above, on Veterans Day at his car wash. Moore, an Army sergeant whose spinal cord was injured after he took several rounds of machine gun fire while on patrol in Boti Kot, Afghanistan, will receive a mortgage-free home in Land O’ Lakes from Home for Our Troops.
