The search for Lakewood Ranch Town Hall’s next executive director has been pared from 30 candidates to two. PAM EUBANKS SENIOR EDITOR
LAKEWOOD RANCH — A list of more than 30 candidates has been whittled down to two in the search for the next executive director of Lakewood Ranch Town Hall. Supervisors on the Inter-District Authority Board narrowed the candidate pool Sept. 30 to finalists Longboat Key Assistant Town Manager Anne Ross and Highlands County Assistant County Administrator Randy Vosburg. A public meet-and-greet with finalists is scheduled for Oct. 7, and a public interview with candidates and selection meeting will be held starting at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 8, at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall, 8175 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. “We’re looking for someone who is career-oriented, has fresh eyes, is a change agent and has good solid experience,” SEE PAGE 5A

YOUR TOWN Rotary recognizes clean water work Rotarians share a passion for community and global service. To commemorate and discuss its aid with access to clean water in Peru, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and other counties, the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch is hosting a luncheon at 11 a.m. Oct. 15 at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. The Rotary Water and Sanitation Forum and Luncheon will offer a presentation on the East County group’s efforts, and major donors will be recognized. Since 2011, the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch has completed 12 projects to help ensure safe water and sanitation projects for communities in developing countries. “This ongoing effort by Rotarians worldwide to help eliminate unhealthy living conditions should be supported by all Rotarians and non-Rotarians interested in world humanitarian efforts,” said Cyndi Doragh, Rotary District No. 6960 district governor.
