Kennedy students assist with community clean up

On Nov. 10 several members of the H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Planet Earth) Club and other students from John F. Kennedy High School joined forces with the South Merrick Commu- nity Civic Association, Inc. to clean up litter and refurbish the garden plantings at Cammanns Pond.

Legis. Steve Rhoads, as well as other members of the community and a local Girl Scout troop attended and volunteered raking and pruning, planting and generally cleaning up this community space.
