Bellmore leaders are givers

Bellmore School District students learned through the Bellmore Stars Character Education program that part of being a leader is helping others and, that together, they can make a difference in the world.

Throughout the month, Shore Road, Winthrop Avenue and Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center students hosted food collections and a coat drive to benefit struggling families in the community.

Shore Road School students in Bellmore collected more than 600 items during the school’s annual Thanksgiving Community Food Drive to assist struggling families in the community.

At Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center, students collected nonperishable items for the food drive and coats for the annual coat drive.

Winthrop Avenue School students collected nonperishable items during the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
