Jamie was born in York (1978), and has spent most of his life in Yorkshire and the NorthEast of England, having lived and worked in Scarborough since 2007. Sploomfy was no ordinary boy. Receiving a miracle-healing, by the magical gift of music, he grew into a very talented young man. He had come to make a whole load of friends – the Splendemonics. Always wanting to play Spanish Flamenco, watch the Cha Cha, and listen to Lambada, there were always adventures to be had. The day his dream came true, Sploomfy knew that he wasn’t just “dreaming.”

A short, humorous story, with a moral. Musical instruments are stored, and forgotten about, in an attic. They are still alive, and can only dream about playing again one day. The instruments make a plan to escape, and go to all the major festivals. After some time, the instruments arrive at the festivals, and become instant stars! Collectively, this piece of work could only have come into being because of the people I have met, places I have been, and experiences lived through over the years. Essentially, a compendium of Poetry, Topical Essays, Current Affairs, Travel Adventures, and other delightful Vignettes. Mental Health books give a voice to writers around the world who raise awareness of mental health, and the stigma surrounding mental health problems by encouraging society to listen; documenting mental health, so history remembers the survivors and carers of people with mental illness and disabilities. People do suffer – so remember to be kind. Both Sarah and Jamie have suffered loss and bereavement in their families; as well as their own hard-earned lived experiences.
