Welcome to the July edition of your Child in Whittlesea.

We hope you have your entry in our Winter Model Competition. Don't forget to vote for your favourite entrant. The Winner will appear on the cover of our August issue!!!!!

Talking Turtles Speech Pathology can provide Speech, Language, Literacy, Social Skills, Fluency and ASD assessments & therapy for children 2-18 years. Trevallyn Learning Centre can also assist with primary, reading and maths tutoring.

This month Frances and I went to Mernda village Adventure playground for our“Fun with Frances “page. If there is a park you would like to see included, please email or send a message on Facebook We would like to encourage kids to write in and share their stories, jokes and ideas. Children are also encouraged to have fun in our “Kids Corner”. We frequently have completions for our young readers, so keep an eye for details in our magazines or on our Facebook pages.

Fun with Frances

This month Frances and I had fun at Mernda Villages Adventure Playground on Mernda Village Drive Three huge horse shapes dominate the top level of the playground which has a structure with levels and nooks and crannies and includes a metal slide, caves, fireman's pole, flying fox, ramp, walkways, steps and ladders. A ramp leads to an area of wooden platforms with a short tunnel slide, fireman's pole, ladder and scrambling wall.

Further along there is a large sculptured sandpit with a roof, tractor embedded into the path, seesaw and four swings.

The playground is very spread-out and stretches along the road and is not far from the car park and water, so you will need to keep an eye on the kids. there is not a lot of seating around the playground. Nearby there are the wetlands and a barbeque are with shelter and a lot of seating.
