Hanging with Hannah this month is doing another throw back this time to the Mernda Wetlands, where she spent an amazing, however, wet day walking around and exploring all the wetland had to offer. The park is an awesome place to take the kids for some fresh air, when you have been couped up inside for too long. Even with the cold/wet weather you can still rug up and enjoy the short bursts of Winter sunshine. Hanging with Hannah canbefoundonpage8.

This month we are revising the Mernda Wetlands. The wetlands can be found beside the Mernda Adventure Playground, on Mernda Village Drive and spread out along the Mernda Park Run trail. What a fantasc me Hannah and her family had on their walk, however, the weather was not Melbourne’s ﬁnest with heavy rain showers. Though the bad weather had its advantages with some awesome puddle fun ... who doesn’t love running through the puddles, even if you forget to wear your gumboots! (Though unlike Peppa Pig, Hannah did try and stay away from the Muddy Puddles ... however, tempng they were!)

There were amazing leaves, spiders webs, giant birds nests at the top of very tall trees, creave natural tree formaons and we found all of Hannah’s Scavenger Hunt items, it was as if it compleng itself with all the interesng ﬁnds on oﬀer!

Other treasures included some large boulders for climbing on, huge trees for hide and seek, and a creek that was ﬂowing heavily which allowed Hannah’s brother the opportunity to create himself an adventure story about the Water Dragons.

Hannah’s Tip of the Month - Why not explore what is available in your local park or reserve ... as there is lots to see and observe when you slow down and take a peek! (Next me, she is taking her Teddy as he always loves a good outdoor adventure!)

Throughout the walk there were many hidden treasures to discover - the lake area currently has two swans that are nesng, and many diﬀerent types of ducks ... there are a few diﬀerent place around the lake that you can stop and watch the bird life.

1 1/2 Cups Self Raising Flour (plus extra more for Kneading)

Ingredients

Step 3 - Transfer to a clean work bench, ﬂoured with self raising ﬂour.

1 Cup Plain Greek Yoghurt Cooking Spray

Step 4 - Knead dough, (Approximately 8 - 20 minutes,) adding more ﬂour as needed to keep dough from being too scky.

Step 5 - Make dough into a ball.

Step 1 - Preheat oven for 30 minutes on 250C

Now just add your favourite toppings

Step 2 - Mix ﬂour and Greek yoghurt together in a big mixing bowl.

Step 6 - Spray a 12 inch pizza tray with cooking spray and spread the dough to the edges of the (Doubletray.ortriple the recipe if making more than one pizza.)
