This month Frances and I went to Norris Bank Parklands for our“Fun with Frances “page. If there is a park you would like to see included, please email or send a message on Facebook We would like to encourage kids to write in and share their stories, jokes and ideas. Children are also encouraged to have fun in our “Kids Corner”. We frequently have completions for our young readers, so keep an eye for details in our magazines or on our Facebook pages.

Fun with Frances

This month when I asked Frances where she wanted to go, she said that park near the bush, so here we are having fun again at Norris Bank Parklands in Bundoora.

The Main structure has a good tunnel slide, tunnel, steps, walkway composed of a mat of square segments, tic-tac-toe, spiral ladder, wave slide and curved monkey bars. There is a toddler structure with slide and colourful balls, another structure composed of a climbing wall and fireman's pole, artificial hill with a metal slide, four person rocker, stand-on spinner, spinner which allows you to swings around in the air, unusual and difficult climbing structure and swings.

There are BBQs and plenty of sheltered tables and seats, and toilets. Landscaped with big rocks scattered about and little forests that Frances enjoyed walking through. There are also tennis courts, basketball court, walking and bike paths nearby. Norris Bank Parklands is suitable for both toddlers and older kids.
