Harmony Place Park Officer Cardinia Council Another one of our family favourites, is the Harmony Place Park. This one is in Officer, south of the Princes Highway – easily accessed off Biggs Drive, Harmony Place, Keats Street and Tolkien Boulevard.

How picturesque and adorable is this park?

I imagine it will become over time a favourite for birthday parties, photographers and families alike.

My children enjoyed the sand, the equipment and I relaxed (for 10 whole minutes) in the shade.

There are lots of display homes nearby too, should you wish to get some interior design inspiration after the outdoor play!

Healthy Kids

Great sweet snack for school lunches

Fruit Leather Straps Ingredients -

3 - 4 cups of ripe diced fruit 1 -2 tbs sugar to taste 1 tbs lemon juice Optional - spice or flavours to taste

Combinations we’ve tried: * Strawberry, raspberry and vanilla * Apple & cinnamon * Grapes * Banana & strawberry

Method 1) Preheat oven to low setting 70 degrees 2) HARD FRUIT - place all ingredients in a saucepan with 1/2 cup of water and bring to a simmer.

Cover with lid and simmer for 10 minutes until soft.

3) SOFT FRUIT & COOKED FRUIT (step 2) - blend all ingredients together in a blender/food processor until smooth puree.

4) Cover a baking tray with baking paper or a silicon baking mat 5) Pour the mixture onto your tray and smooth over the prepared area. You want it to be around 4mm thick. Depending on your tray sizes you may have enough for 2 trays 6) Place in the oven and cook for around 4 plus hours. The time will depend on your oven, tray sizes and fruits used. They are ready when the centre is no longer tacky to touch 7) Remove from oven allow to cool and then cut into strips.

8) Store in an airtight container or the fridge.
