Wow – I cannot believe we are at April already! It's going to be a big month – school holidays, Easter, ANZAC day plus the usual chaos of family life!!!!

For this month I've got some cracker articles for you – 'Sleep Glorious Sleep' (I'd forgotten what that was - haha), motivation, singing and Easter and ANZAC day.

Highgrove Estate Playground Clyde North - Casey Council We are spoilt with some quality playgrounds in Casey and Cardinia, and the Highgrove Estate Playground is one of our family favourites.

The equipment is modern, clean, and super fun if you are 5 and 3 like my little ones! They love the slides, the pommel style flying fox and see-saw.

It’s a quiet area, not a whole lot of traffic or noise, and there’s seating and a table to bring a snack or lunch with you too!

Healthy Kids

ANZAC BISCUITS with Fruit & Nuts Ingredients 1/2 cup white plan flour 3/4 cup caster sugar 1/2 cup shredded coconut 1/4 cup dried apricots, chopped 2 tablespoons golden syrup 2 tablespoons boiling water

Method

1/2 cup wholemeal plan flour 1 cup rolled oats 1/4 cup macadamia nuts 125 g reduced-fat polyunsaturated margarine 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

Recipe provided

by Better Health Vic

■ Preheat oven to 180°C ■ Sift flour and sugar. Add rolled oats, coconut, macadamia nuts and apricot ■ Melt margarine and golden syrup ■ Dissolve bicarbonate of soda in boiling water. Add to melted margarine and golden syrup ■ Add wet mixture to dry ingredients. Mix well ■ Roll mixture into small balls and place on a lined oven tray. Slightly flatten with a fork ■ Cook for 15-20 minutes or until browned ■ Cool for 5 minutes on oven tray before moving into a cooling rack 29
