OUR SENIOR EDITOR

ELORA Every month our email gets filled with lots of questions about how to submit info to be considered for publication in our magazine. We thought we'd answer the top three questions that were asked this month. 1. Does Young Guns only feature "young" artist? A: The answer is no. Although our publication focuses on up and coming new artists, there are no age limits. We are committed to supporting all genres of music and all ages of artist. 2. How do I submit my info and what do you look for? A: We ask that you submit your or your band's bio via email to: info@younggunsmusicmagazine.com. Within the bio we'd like you to include as much information about your group or yourself as possible. For example, when you first began to perform? How old were you? Who or what inspired you? How did you come up with the name of your band? ...etc. The more info you provide us the better. 3. What about pictures, what do you want or look for? A: Pictures must be high quality. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Pictures are important. Make sure they represent you and your music. Hope this helps and hope to hear from you!

Poc Saenz Reyes Mexico

Young Guns Music Magazines is connecting with artists from around the world. Many submit their stories directly to us via our email address and others we meet in person. Meeting this month's cover artist was a little different; perhaps a twist of fate. Poc just so happend to comment on our our Senior Editor's Face Book Fan Page. Elora and Poc struck up a conversation and discovered Poc's background in music and thought she just had to cover her and bring her story to our readers. Poc is an edgy rock singer hailing from Mexico with an amazing voice and a unique story to tell. Her tale begins as a young ballet dancer in Mexico City. She was scheduled to audition one morning to enter into a professional dance school. On her way to way to the audition she had an accident and broke her ankle. You could call it a literal "twist of fate". The moment served as an epiphany and shifted her passion to what inspired her to dance in the first place; music. She began focusing her time and energy singing, writing songs, as well as playing piano and guitar in her late teenage years With musical inspirations from the likes of Janis Joplin, ACDC and Lenny Kravitz she began recording demos and performing at venues around Mexico City. Her efforts soon opened up other oppertunities for her in the entertainment world, including a recurring acting role on the TV show "Roomies." Now in her early 20's she feels she can finally say that her career is taking off. She has teamed up with Guns N' Roses guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal and opened for the legendary rock band on their Mexico tour dates. The two would lock themselves in the studio for months to record Poc's debut album, Rise Above. “An album made from chasing dreams and overcoming obstacles, this is what the singer wants people to hear and feel when listening.

Poc's talents have taken her far. She has performed at SXSW in Austin, Texas in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 and has she performed as the opening act for many National acts such as Guns n Roses, Cinderella, Queens Ryche, Dokken, Lita Ford and Faster Pussy Cat to name a few. She releaed her first single, Arena Rock which was inspired by Rock n Roll Baby in February 2013 and followed up with her full album Rise Above which is a 12-song album with lyrics in both English and Spanish. Elora hand to opportunity to chat with Poc and ask her a few questions on what she's been up to.

YGMM: So where are you living now? PN: Well, thats a funny question because I don't spend more than 6 months anywhere. I'm always moving, right now I could say I'm spending more time in Mexico City so I guess I could say I'm living here for the moment lol. YGMM: Where was your very first performance and what do you remember about it? PN: My first performance was in a cafe; just me and a guitar... acoustic... singing covers... it was pretty fun though but different of how I am now, but i enjoyed it. It was in a cafe in a little town in Michoacan where I used to go with my dad every weekend. I remember I was very nervous. It was my first time ever and plus to sing with just a guitar... man I'm still terrified of acoustic shows. I feel so small. I'm supper shy.

YGMM: Who is it that inspires you and your music and why? PN: I think love. It is the one that can make me feel so blue and so happy. It can make me do things I've never done before or cry an endless river. I've never been really good at that thing called love lol. I guess no one is or i don't know. All I know is I'm the worst. I'm so emotional that can really screw things up really quick, and I'm not very good at saying I'm sorry ( and trust me I'm not proud about that... I'm working on that) but that s me. I can try to be better, but the reality is I'll never change so i guess its better to accept than to expect. So going back to music I found a shelter in music. I can express whatever I want and now one will take it personal. YGMM: What's in the works for you today? Where can people catch some up coming performances?

PN: Well right now the best way to reach out for me would be Facebook.com/ pocnation. I'm working on new material , taking a course in music production, and taking care of my new partners in crime Samantha and Harry ( two beautiful 5 months great danes). It's always great meeting new artists and finding out more about them and their music. YGMM plans plan to follow Poc on her music journey which to date has been extreemly successful We are confident that we all will be hearing more about her and her music in the near future.

Ready Revolution San Antonio, Texas

Brothers Emilio IV and Diego Navaira have litterally grown up on stage and have been in the music industry all their lives. They are the sons of Tejano Super Star Emilio Navaira . One may think that having a father as a Star in the Tejano music industry Emilio IV and Diego would follow in their father's footsteps, but the brothers chose to take their own path in music and always knew what they wanted to do; Rock 'n' Roll. For music fans who have followed the brothers career in music, it has been interesting watching how they have grown and developed. Over the years they fine tuned their music and reinvented themselfes from an "80s Pop Metal sound which they were knon for when they performed under that band name of "Von Army" the Pop Rock power house band that is now known as Ready Revolution. Ready Revolution's music is a unique brand of Pop and Rock 'n Roll, with hooks that will have a first time listener singing along with the chorus the second time around. Marrying a solid pop groove with heavy guitars and gritty vocals. The band i made up Diego Navaira and Emilio Navaira IV, Matt Zavala, Shane Gamboa, and Kevin Diaz De Leon. Since the band's rebranding, they have been working hard non-stop in making their mark across the country. With two records under their belt within a year span they have demonstrated their determination and possess a work ethic rare for a band their age.

14

Their first effort (the Summer EP) was #1 on the reverb nation local pop charts and their newest release which came out in August 2015, which they spent a little more than a year making, is expected to be a chart topper. The band has toured hard for a year and a half with stops at Six Flags Dallas, House of Blues, and the most recently the Texas State Fair with Emblem 3 (Dallas), Buzzbomb (Chicago), Arleen's Grocery (New York, NY), and the Hit Factory Gibson Show Room (New York, NY).

Judges Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Ceelo Green, and Blake Shelton had nothing but praise and adoration when asked about his performance and voice, and he was asked retur to for season 6. But Navaira had other endevours in working with his band. It's important to note that Emilio and Diego are much more that just great musicians. They are also phenomenal song writers and have developed into a seasoned production team who trained with Grammy winning producer Michael Morales,. They have been influential in developing the music of up and coming artist such as YouTube sensation Devyn DeLoera from Snyder and San Antonio Teen Rocker Elora.

In addtion to their their touring, the band has enjoyed National attention for honoring the San Antonio Spurs, playing at their 2014 Championship Parade, and are now featured in the 2014 NBA Championship DVD.

There is no doubt that this young group with all of its talent, experience and dedication is well on its way to setting the National music scene on fire. Young Guns Music Magazine will be keeping our readers up to date on the band's progress in the coming months. This is a group of Young Guns to keep an eye on.
