In light of the recent incident of refusing to bury a female corona virus victim from medical staff, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Egypt’s Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, stated that refusing to bury the coronavirus victims has nothing to do with either our religion or ethics and values.

Dr. Allam confirmed in a news statement that all acts of bullying and mockery of corona virus victims and patients are totally unacceptable.

“Those who die of coronavirus are martyrs and it is impermissible to prevent them from the right of burial under any circumstances”, Dr. Allam said.
