Founded in 1964 with just 60 students, York Technical College now welcomes between 5,000 to 7,000 credit students each year at its main campus in Rock Hill, conveniently located off Interstate 77, as well as its offcampus center in Chester. Designed to help students become independent and efficient learners, individualized sessions cover skill assessment and building as well as test-taking skills, note-taking, organization, and time-management.

TUTORING Open to all students, we offer year-round tutoring in various subjects to assist students with their coursework. In addition to in-person sessions, online tutoring is also available with technology platforms such as D2L and Navigate.

SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION Students receive built-in support for math through course-specific learning and study strategies, structured study time with peers, and review of terms, concepts, and lessons in a lab associated with the course.

Looking to explore campus on your own terms? Our selfguided tour allows visitors to check in at the Welcome Center, located in the Student Services (Building J), throughout the week Monday through Thursday. Their hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and provide a campus map, tour instructions, and guidelines so you can create your own campus experience.
