ADVANCED SWIM 40 Minutes | Ages 6+ F: $96 M: $162 N: $243

Stage 5:

Swimmers must be able to swim the entire length of the pool with proficient front crawl and backstroke and tread water for 1 minute to enter this class. Please bring goggles to class. Mon/Wed | 5 Weeks: 11:10am, 4:40pm Fri | 10 Weeks: 11:10am Sat | 10 Weeks: 11:20am Sun | 10 Weeks: 11:20am

Stage 6:

Swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards continuously with proficient front crawl and backstroke, with rudimentary breast stroke, butterfly stroke and tread water for 2 minutes to enter this class. Tue/Thu | 5 Weeks: 11:10am, 4:40pm Fri | 10 Weeks: 4:40pm Sat | 10 Weeks: 11:20am Sun | 10 Weeks: 11:20am

SPECIALTY CLASSES Teen Beginner Swim Class:

F: $83 M: $141 N: $206 30 Minutes | Ages 11+ A beginner class for teens who are beginner swimmers or who have never had lessons. This class will improve confidence and comfort and teach floating and horizontal swimming skills in freestyle and backstroke. Wed | 10 Weeks: 5:45pm

Beginner Springboard Diving:

F: $96 M: $154 N: $225 60 Minutes Learn the basics of competitive diving. Students will practice approaches such as forward and back jumps, in straight position, pike and tuck body positions, and forward and back dives. In this class divers must be able to pass the deep end swim test and do a forward dive from the side of the pool. Sat | 10 Weeks: 8:30am, 9:30am

Advanced Springboard Diving:

F: $96 M: $154 N: $225 60 Minutes A class for divers who have been promoted from the beginner class or high school divers who want to perfect their advanced skills. Instructor recommendation is required. Sat | 10 Weeks: 10:30am

Adaptive Swim Academy:

F: $144 M: $160 N: $205 30 Minutes The goal of this program is to provide basic swim skills and teach essential water safety techniques with the needs of each individual in mind. Each participant must begin the season accompanied by an adult in the water. This course is taught by special education teacher and Adaptive Aquatics Specialist, Rachel Gregory M. Ed. Sat | 10 Weeks: 8:00am - ages 8-13 Sat | 10 Weeks: 12:00pm - ages 3-6 Sat | 10 Weeks: 12:40pm - ages 7-10 Sat | 10 Weeks: 1:20pm - ages 11-13

SWIM TEAM Little Piranhas

M: $198 N: $356 45 Minutes | Ages 5-6 A swim class specifically designed for swimmers who wish to join the swim team in the future. Taught by YMCA Piranhas swim team coaches. Little Piranhas will prepare children for swim team through stroke drills, endurance sets, flip turns, and race starts. For those of Youth 5 and 6 who are looking for a more competitive next step. Tue/Thu | 10 Weeks: 5:15pm - 6:00pm

PRIVATE LESSONS (members only) Each lesson lasts 30 minutes. To register, fill out a request form at the Welcome Center or online at ymcametronorth.org/aquatics. You will be contacted when a slot becomes available. Private lessons are available for members only. ADULT SWIM Adult Swim Training Club:

M: $160 N: $276 | 75 minutes For beginner and advanced swimmers seeking to improve their technique and overall fitness. This two days per week training program will provide you with new and challenging workouts to improve stroke technique, endurance, speed and strength. Tue/Thu | 10 Weeks: 6:15am-7:30am

Adult Beginner Swim Lessons:

M: 84 N: $122 Ages 17+ | 30 minutes This is the place to start for adults who don’t have a lot of prior swimming experience. Participants will become more confident in the water and will learn the fundamentals of swimming and aquatic safety. Tue | 10 Weeks: 5:45pm

Adult Swim Stroke Development:

M: $84 N: $122 Ages 17+ | 30 minutes Develop basic swim strokes and use swimming as a source of fitness. It is recommended that participants have taken beginner swim lessons before or have prior experience. Participants should be able to swim at minimum 1 length of the pool. Thu | 10 Weeks: 5:45pm

CERTIFICATION CLASSES Red Cross Lifeguard Certification:

M: $300 N: $450 | Ages 15+ Students will be trained in the nationally recognized American Red Cross Lifeguard Course including CPR, First Aid, and AED. This class is a combination of online and in person trainings. Certification is determined by successful completion of a comprehensive written exam and in water skills test. Swimming skills are a pre-requisite with a swim test the first day of class. Attendance in all classes is mandatory. You will receive an email 2 weeks prior to start date with instructions for the online portion. Must be age 15 by the final day of the course.
