During school breaks, and vacations the Y offers a fun, educational Day Camp program for kids! Each day is full of adventure, from crafts and STEM activities to swimming and outdoor adventures, there’s always fun to be had at the Y’s Day Camp! WHAT IS CAMP EDWARDS?
Located only 45 minutes from Redlands Family YMCA and a mere two hours from Los Angeles, Camp Edwards offers a traditional overnight camp environment for all in the San Bernardino Mountains. Camp Edwards staff, volunteers and camp committee strive to maintain the highest standards in providing a quality camping experience for all ages. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and all camp counselors are CPR certified and receive training in first aid and lifesaving. We take pride in hiring the best people for our camp staff. Our camp staff are selected for their unique blend of passion, creativity, and commitment to the safety and well-being of children.
Before hiring, all staff must pass a criminal background check. All staff must participate in our training program that includes but not limited to:

At Camp Edwards, kids get to explore the wonders of nature with our role model sta and discover a passion for the outdoors including, the thrill of the rock climb wall, ziplining, archery and more! We are accredited by the American Camp Association.

AQUATICS
With an Association Membership, you get access to the 3 Aquatic Centers across the East Valley! With 4 indoor pools, an outdoor pool, children’s splash zone, spa, and sauna, the Y’s Aquatic Centers offer a variety of options for our members!
The Y offers tons of exciting programs and classes to get you in the water and having fun. All aquatic centers are equipped with a pool lift to aid in water accessibility for all members.

Adaptive Parent & Child Swim
Ages 5+
This Adaptive Aquatics swim class is a parent-child class for children ages 5 – 18 years with special needs. The goal of this class is to get your child comfortable in the water, teach them how to be safe around water, and become independent swimmers.
Lap Swim
Ages 6+
Lap Swimming is available with lanes divided by speed. Swimmers are welcome to swim laps during open lap swim times. Swimmers must choose the appropriate lane for their speed and stroke choice.
Aquatic Leaders Club
Ages 11-16
This program develops leadership in aquatic instruction, preparing participants to become swim instructors. It covers youth development, water safety, and key lifeguarding skills like scanning, rescues, endurance, and more.
Parent-Child Program
Ages 6 months – 5 years
The Parent/Child program focuses on five key areas: personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water games, and rescue. An adult must accompany the child in every class.
Please Note: All children 2 years and under and/or not potty trained must wear a non-disposable swim diaper while swimming in YMCA pools. Non-disposable swim diapers may be purchased at the front desk for $15.
Power Plunge
Ages 15+
A mid-to-high intensity water exercise class focusing on cardiovascular conditioning and muscle toning. This class will help you to tone and condition your body without added stress on your joints.
Swim Club
Ages 8+
The Swim Club has two levels: Porpoise builds stroke technique and endurance, while Shark sharpens all four strokes, starts, and turns. Advancement requires completing the prior level or a coach-led tryout.
Youth Program
Ages 6 – 12
The Youth Swim Program builds stamina, refines stroke technique, and strengthens self-rescue skills. Swimmers learn all major strokes, including breaststroke and butterfly, while reinforcing safety and lifelong swimming habits.
Preschool Program
Ages 3 - 5
The Preschool Swim Program builds water confidence through play and guided self-rescue. Kids progress to independent movement, basic front and back crawl, and key safety skills like treading and elementary backstroke.
Water Walking
Ages 15+
Water Walking is a low-impact cardio class where instructors guide participants through movements in all directions to help tone and condition the body without stressing the joints.
Beginner Teen/Adult
Ages 13+
Our youth and adult beginner level is for participants needing to get comfortable in the water/deep water.
Advanced Teen/Adult
Ages 13+
Youth and adult advance level is for participants working on stroke development for all 4 strokes.
Masters Swim
Ages 18+
Masters Swim offers personalized training with a certified coach to help you reach your goals. Whether it’s improving technique, building endurance, toning, or training for triathlons.

It’s time to put your tap dancing shoes on! Come and join in on a creative way to keep fit by learning basic tap dancing steps. Bring your own athletic shoes or tapping shoes appropriate for low impact class.

GRIT is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that builds strength, boosts cardio fitness, and targets all major muscle groups using barbells, weight plates, and bodyweight exercises. GRIT Strength is available at select locations.
Abs & Assets
Ages 15+
This is a low impact strength class that targets the core (abs, lower back, hamstrings, glutes), and the thighs. Not only will this class help tone your body, you will also improve your posture.
Y Barre
Ages 15+
Y Barre is a fun, high-energy workout that blends dance, Pilates, and strength training to tone your whole body. It’s the perfect mix of strength, flexibility, and a ballet-inspired twist.
TRX
Ages 15+
Total Resistance Exercise uses bodyweight and gravity for a full-body workout that builds strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and core stability simultaneously.
Cardio Kickboxing
Ages 15+
Cardio Kickboxing combines basic punches and kicks into a high-intensity workout with active recovery intervals. Modifications available to make it accessible for all fitness levels.
Zumba
Ages 12+
Zumba blends salsa, hip-hop, and cardio into a fun, high-energy dance workout that flies by in 50 minutes. Great for all fitness levels, with variations like Zumba Pop and STRONG at select locations.
Bands & Balance
Ages 15+
Uses resistance bands to build lower body strength while blending Pilates, yoga, and tai chi to improve balance and mobility. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Personal Training*

Personal Training offers one-on-one sessions with a certified trainer who creates a custom plan to match your goals and boost results. Packages available in single, 5, 10, or 15 sessions. *Prices vary by location.

PERFORMANCE ARTS
Cheer/Cheerleading
Ages 5-16
An entry-level class aimed at older children, Cheer is designed to teach them important skills such as strength, flexibility, and coordination. Kids will also get the chance to learn simple chants, cheers, and dance routines. This is a great way for them to stay active and have some fun!
*Depending on the location, this class may be split into two separate classes: Cheer I and Cheer II.
Dance Acro
Ages 6-16
This program explores the advanced movements of tumbling, contortion, and dance. This class is designed for those with some experience, and thus it follows a more intensive structure like that of a studio program. Parents are to observe outside of the classroom.
Hip Hop & Baby Hip Hop*
Ages 5 - 16 / 3 - 5
This course offers a great introduction to the essential movements of hip-hop. By taking this class, your child will learn fun and challenging choreography set to today’s popular hip-hop tunes. Parents are to observe outside of the classroom as this class is structured like a studio program.

Beginning Aerial Combo
Ages 7+ / 16+
We offer an adult version and youth version of this class. This class is perfect for the new aerialist. You will learn strength and coordination skills to improve your aerial awareness and learn basic tricks and moves on different circus equipment.
Kinder Gymnastics
Ages 3 – 5
Kinder Gymnastics teaches basic tumbling and balance skills to preschoolers. This class introduces skills like focusing, listening, and patience while in a fun learning environment.
Gymnastics
Ages 5+
Students will enjoy this fun and exciting course, they will be moving towards higher levels of gymnastics abilities. In an enthusiastic learning environment, this class will provide self-discipline, enhance physical strength, and build self-confidence. Apparatus include floor, balance beam, tumbling and much more.
SUMMER CIRCUS
CIRCUS AT THE Y
Join our Summer Circus program for kids ages 5+! Learn circus skills like unicycling, diabolo, aerial arts and more. Keep up your strength and skills or explore new ones. Develop coordination, balance, and creativity in a fun and thrilling community. Don’t miss out! Designed for preschoolers to learn basic acro, tumbling, mini trampoline, and balance skills!
Beginning Handbalancing Ages 7+
Perfect for a new balancer! You will learn how to support your weight solely on your hands and on various objects.
Beginning Juggling Ages 8+
Beginning Juggling is perfect for those with little or no experience who want to learn this fun and engaging skill. Through guided instruction, handson practice, and supportive feedback, participants will build coordination and master the basic techniques needed to juggle up to three balls.
Aerial Workout
Ages 12+
The Aerial Workout course offers a unique and exhilarating way to maintain and enhance your strength during the summer months. This course focuses on utilizing actual circus equipment to develop a strong and fit body while learning the skills of an aerialist.
Unicycle
Ages 7+
Enhance balance, skills, and coordination on the one-wheeled wonder, whether you’re a beginner or seeking to master tricks.
Stilts
Ages 7+
Learn to balance and walk on stilts - you will learn strength and coordination skills that will prepare you for the upcoming season!
Risley (All Levels)
Ages 8+
This class will teach all levels of duo Risley; where the base lies on their back and the flyer performs on the base’s feet. All levels are welcome!
Diabolo (All Levels)
Ages 9+
Diabolo, also known as the, “Chinese yo-yo”, will teach you skills to prepare you for the next season of Diabolo. All levels are welcome!
Teeterboard
Ages 7+

Our martial arts and fitness classes offer fun, inclusive, and age-appropriate instruction that promotes fitness, discipline, focus, and self-defense. Students of all ages build strength, endurance, flexibility, confidence, leadership, and the opportunity to earn belt ranks over multiple sessions.
Itty Bitty Sports
Ages 3 – 5
We offer various Itty Bitty Sports:

Music/Drum Corp
Ages 5+
Drum Corps offers fun beginner drum lessons for kids, building rhythm, coordination, and music skills through warm-ups, technique, and performance. No prior experience needed.
Youth Run Club
Ages 9 – 14
Participants will meet and perform conditioning skills such as knee highs, heel kicks, ladders, etc. Runners will meet on the track in the fitness center at the beginning of each class. Please send a water bottle with your child to stay hydrated!
Youth Speed & Agility
Ages 10+
Participants will meet and perform speed and agility skills such as ladders, cone drills, box jumps, etc. Participants will meet in the Group X room located in the back of the wellness center. Please send a water bottle with your child to stay hydrated.

Our Active Older Adults program is a great way to stay healthy, active, and connected! Classes are designed to fit various fitness goals and abilities, offering a supportive environment where you can feel comfortable at your own pace. AOA Bingo & Potluck!
First Friday of each month
Join us for our monthly AOA Bingo & Potluck at the Highland YMCA every first Friday of the month from 11:30am - 1:00pm! Come share your culinary skills and mingle with like-minded individuals at our free potluck! Zumba Gold
Ages 50+
Zumba Gold adapts the traditional Zumba formula with modified moves and pacing to suit active older participants and beginners. This friendly and fun dance class combines salsa cardio and hip-hop, getting you moving to the music!
SilverSneakers® Stretching
Ages 50+
Stretching classes are low impact and low intensity workout that will tone your muscles, increase your range of motion and flexibility. Participants will develop breathing techniques to compliment this resistance training workout.
SilverSneakers® Yoga
Ages 50+
Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform exercises. Relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
SilverSneakers® Circuit
Ages 50+
Cardiovascular exercise is the highlight of Silver Sneakers® Circuit. Featuring upper-body strength workout using hand weights, elastic tubing, ball with non-impact aerobic activity. A chair is available for support and easy head-to-toe stretching.
SilverSneakers® Classic
Ages 50+
SilverSneakers® Classic utilizes hand weights, elastic tubing, and exercise balls to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
