In my capacity as the Foreign Affairs & Trade Minister for the Sovereign Yidindji Government please accept our congratulations on leading Australia to gain a position on the United Nations Human Rights Council. To secure a majority support of the United Nations member states is a great endorsement, one which the Yidindji Nation hopes you will use to help settle the past & secure the future between our governments. We hope our recent offer of a treaty, that being on the 17th day of August 2017, is pursued by the Commonwealth of Australia for the full benefit of all Australians. Indeed, it is our wish that a formal argreement be successfully concluded, so Australia can demonstrate to the world its commitment to the international norms of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The world needs strong leadership and we wish you and other agents of the government of the Commonwealth of Australia all the best in your work. It may please you to know that His Excellency, Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada recently spoke to the General Assembly of his government’s intent to fully adopt the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Julie Bishop, there is no greater friend to the government of the Commonwealth of Australia than the Sovereign Yidindji Government. In previous correspondence to the Commonwealth of Australia, I have transmitted our intention to not pursue genocide and other crimes committed against the Yidindji people by agents representing
