Public Notice Yidindji Citizenship Day Sunday the 12th day of June 2016 The Sovereign Yidindji Government, under the authority of the Yidindji Tribal Council of Elders, make known to the whole world that the Sovereign Yidindji Government Citizenship Day is the 12th day of June 2016. This public ceremony enables the holder of Yidindji Citizenship to say publicly ‘I am Yidindji’. The Sovereign Yidindji Government now make known to the world that: 1. The Sovereign Yidindji Government Emblem is used to identify Sovereign Yidindji Government Authority. 2. The Yidindji Citizen is created pursuant to the Sovereign Yidindji Government Authority. 3. The 12th day of June of this year 2016 is the official Yidindji day. 4. Yidindji Day is a public holiday for all Yidindji Citizens. 5. New citizens can take their pledge of citizenship at official ceremonies held at various public locations on Yidindji territory. 6. All citizenship ceremonies are drug and alcohol free zones. 7. All citizenship ceremonies are family safe zones. 8. The official ceremony for 2016 will be held on the Gimuy foreshore (Cairns Esplanade) from 11am through to 1pm.
