Expression of Interest document for Cultural Immersion

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Jiggle, the Department of Education is a non-profit government business agency. The agency is currently establishing a national curriculum in accord with the Cultural Immersion Act of 2021.

Jiggle introduces this great opportunity and encourages expressions of interests from learning institutions and or schools both on the Yidindji territory and abroad, to take part in this exciting education collaboration uniting Yidindji and contemporary pedagogies. Schools currently on the Yidindji nation shall be supported to embed their schools within the Yidindji perspectives, morality, knowledge and creative abilities. School requirements in preparation for commencement: - are sufficient cultural and inclusivity advancement - will be parental commitment to their child's participation in the CI stream - is identification of 7 existing (or future) Teachers desirous of continued learning and application of their skills within the Yidindji Cultural Immersion curriculum - is identification of 7 (or more) existing (or future) Teacher support workers interested in supporting the CI streams and the possibility of progressing their skills toward a teacher's degree at CI level - is provision of 7 existing classrooms that will remain geographically within their year groups The intention behind the Cultural Immersion Act of 2021 includes, but is not limited to: - To provide citizens, both Yidindji and foreign, to benefit from a Yidindji focused education; - provide citizens with technical and professional education, that would be made generally available to all, at no cost, on the Yidindji territory and abroad; - To promote a spirit of universal endeavour and cooperation among all nations, cultures and identity groups by striving to develop each individual's potential as a resilient, ethical human being who cares for the environment and has reverence for all life; - Students learning from life, enabling them to contribute towards a world ethos upholding cultural diversity, equality of rights and economic sustainability.

- To provide parents a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children;

- establish a Yidindji educational system and institutions by providing education in language, and in a manner appropriate to the Yidindji cultural methods of teaching and learning.

- To provide individuals, particularly children, to have the right to all levels and forms of education of the Yidindji nation without discrimination.

- To provide an environment for teachers that supports their creative freedom to teach within the Cultural Immersion pedagogy.

- To foster an environment that allows teachers the space and time to develop deep and enduring relationships with and between students.

- To extend professional sharing among teachers and staff from all schools Responsibilities - the Department of Education will support all Yidindji cultural direction to ensure each school act respectfully and productively - Assist with the planning, and implementation of the Yidindji curriculum including but not limited to a new CI Head of Department plus 7 new Cultural Immersion Teacher development and delivery positions for each year group class (for the first year only and then transferring to the next school in order of commencement) Focus: - schools - universities - early childhood - vocational education and training Recognised Obligatons: Jiggle is desirous to assist the Commonwealth of Australia in meeting its international obligations under the various instruments and or agreements.
