DANCE: Disco
CHOREOGRAPHER: Anthony Campese
Disco began in the late 1960s and early 1970s as an alternative dance music to popular rock music. Disco dancing is a loose dance style, less about specific dance moves and more about the music and freedom of the dance floor.

Freestyle Salsa, Tango, Hip Hop and Disco
CHOREOGRAPHER: Lindsay Lundvall
Salsa is a syncretic dance form with origins from Cuba as the meeting point of Spanish (European) and African cultures. Tango dance is one of the most famous partner dances that emphasizes the vibrant and playful style of movement, rich expressions, improvisation and requires close connection and passion between dancers. Hip hop dance is a range of street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. Disco dancing is a loose dance style, less about specific dance moves and more about the music and freedom of the dance floor.

DANCE: 70’s ChaCha and Swing Fusion
CHOREOGRAPHER: Tara Konyn
The Cha-Cha is a lively and fun dance that really gets you moving on the dance floor. Quite similar to the Rumba and Mambo, Cha-Cha took the slower steps of both dances and added a triple step. Fusion dancing is a form of improvised partner dancing that occurs when dancers “fuse” or combine elements from two or more dance styles, or use elements of a dance style with music that is not typically associated with that dance style.
