River Saale project.

This project has been held in part of the subject Design of Urban spaces. Usually, the projects by the main design courses are also distributed by official parties, in the this case it was the city of Bernburg, which supported us by giving us documents and the vision for Bernburg, and the base CAD drawing of the area.

The project consisted of a part of Bernburg Saale, river shore, in whish we had to design.

The project is located in a strategic place in Bernburg. Two important bridges are outlining the project, a main car bridge which connects the street in which the train station is located, and a pedestrian bridge which connects the city center to the Northern part of the city. The site is filled with Birch trees, Tilia Cordata, and other local trees. The river Saale is mild fast running, in which people may not be able to swim.

The harbour which has been implemented to the project was based on finding a romantinc sitiuation in the city, a place where people can hang out next to the water, and a place where small boats can park for some time. The material which has been used in the harbour is concrete and steel. It gives a solid architectural taste to the park of which is organic, and it is the most important emphasis in the project.

The concrete ramp designed for the wheel chairs, and the existing stairs to the right has not been changed.

I tookthe old buildingof alBalad Theatre, where I took all measurementsmanually, andhadto deal with very highceilings,andirregularity in building methods.Thetheatre buildinghasbeen preserved as is, but the under building,hasbeen all reconstructed(In my design), andassignedto do different functions, as a parkinglot onground floor.Anew structural gridhasbeen putfor the underbuilding( Thenew reconstructed), and for the theatre, the samestructure hasbeen used.

MLA - Internship projects Hartmut Teske Landschafts architektur Berlin

It is a must to do an internship in the third semester from the Master's in Landscape architecture program from HS Anhalt. As for me, I have picked a city which is Berlin, and started looking for firms online, and start sending them my documents. My aim was for a small office that I can speak German in, and to have projects that I can do from A to Z. Hartmut Teske, a landscape architect accepted me as a trainee, and I started my internship in the 3rd/09/2018, closing it in the 31st/01/2019. In that period, I had the chance to work on several projects, starting from small office work, to design and field work. The office was small, as well for the projects, but I had basic understanding of what to work in Germany means, the professional office work, and a general taste of the German landscape and gardens.

This project has deal with one of Herr Teske's personal projects, and it meant to gather the names of the cure parks(Kurparks) of the state Baddenwürttemberg in Germany. In addition to that, I had to find each park's area, boundary lines, and which type of recreation they offer, as they can offer hot water baths, and other things. For that, I have sed Google Earth pro, and with the guidance of Herr Teske at first, I was able to know the boundaries of the parks, since these parks are not familiar to me. The projects contained 20+ parks, and at last, I had to put all the information in an Excel sheet.

Regalen project - Berlin's office This was the first project to be given in the Internship in Berlin. The office owner Mr. Teske needed to have a concept for having a new office room in the passage way of his office. He depended on my expertise in interior design, and with the needs he asked for, we were able to put a concept for Regalen (shelves) and office working area. In the design, we have considered book sizes, printers sizes, and the balcony door to be reachable.

Bad Mergentheim Kurpark project This was a pre-Holidays project. We had to travel to Bad Mergentheim, to collect data over the trees in the Kurpark of the city Bad Mergentheim. The project lasted for three days, and we were able to gather information of 1000+ trees, including tree type, height, crown width's, if the tree has been cut, and some random information taken by my coworker. Weather was very cold and rainy, but we were able to do it with a paper and a pen. We had also the park's plan, and excel sheets with the basic information over the trees,

Stadtpark Steglitz Stadtpark Steglitz has been a project done by our office before I arrived. The project was cleaning the ponds water from all particles and things that has been dropped in it. All the waste has been gathered in a place until the water dried, and the soil that has been gathered needed to be organically tested to see if it is harmful or toxic, or that it can be put in the park again. My task in this project was o go constantly to the park, take photos, reduce their sizes by photoshop, and Mr. Teske sent them to the ِauthorities.

Park Schloss Schaubeck This has been a project in the city of Schaubeck in Germany. An old castle that needed to have its garden restored and modified. The site is a heritage site, for that we as a firm couldn't change things dramatically, other than clearing paths, modifying trees positions, planting some new trees, and enhancing the outer paths. Using the help of google Earth we were able to take an overview of the site, which has been visited before my start in the office. The office manager had also collected some historical documents and plans, that helped us in later stages to know the previous situation of the buried under the layers of dirt with time. This project has been held on different stages, 1. Visiting and taking measurements(Done before I came) 2.Gathering historical information.

4. Comparing to historical plans.

5. Designing and modifying.

At the end, we had three kinds of plans. 1. The existing situation. 2.The proposed designed. 3. The technical plan showing the difference, if trees have been switched, removed, or relocated.

Unfortunately I have got only the plans which has been shown to the costumer.

This project has been done for a elementary school in the state of Baden Wuttemberg , in a small city called Mühringen. We had to design a (Spielstraße), a term which means a "Playing street", where the car speeds is reduced to the minimum, and the street is designed for both, car circulation, and playing area for the children, and can also host some local events.

We were responsible of designing the street, as well as designing some areas of the school, and the next door church. (Fig.17) shows the area to be designed.

In the process, I have done a small research on Spielstrasse, since I am not familier to this term, and both me and my cowarker suggested designs and ideas, which were implemented in the final design suggestions.

Bernkastlerplatz Pergola This project was a restoration of an old pergola in the park of Bernkastlerplatz in Berlin. The pergola had been rotten in some parts, demolished in others, and paints outs in others. For that we had to put plans to restore it. We had a very old plan of the park, which after dealing with it in site. Although the drawing didn't match the existing situation, but helped us do the measurements in general. to the far right, you can see the final poster sent to the officials, showing the existing situation with measurements, and since the project is just a restoration project, we didn't design any thing new. The plans have also been sent to the carpenter who will deal with the project.

Master's of Landscape architecture projects Hochschule Anhalt - Bernburg In my Master's , I have decided to study Landscape architecture. A two years program from Hochschule Anhalt in Bernburg, and described as Masters of Arts, with 120 credit hours. The program had various subjects that would give the student an insight of the capability of being a landscape architect, starting from the design of small houses, to Landscape planning and environmental law. for me, Landscape architecture is important since with good planing cities can be looking better, and being more functional.

Starting with Atelier of Urban design, projects which can be found in pages (21-23) and (2426), that starts with an intensive research of the place.

GIS Project

This was a usual subject's projects. The subject was GIS, and the task was to show roads, slope, and lands function to the Island Gozo in Italy. The projects has been done by using ArcGIS Program. In addition to working with the ArcGIS by ESRI, I also know how to create professional maps by Google Earth Pro, also I try to extend my knowledge in the similar-open source GIS program, QGIS.

Atelier of Urban design is the main course of the MLA program, where we usually have a research phase which consist of site analysis and related subjects like rain water management, and after this phase comes the design and presentation.

Armenia project was part of the Urban atelier design from the MLA. We had to travel to Armenia to get to know the site. The design course started in Germany, where we started gathering information over the project, the site, and Armenia.

We have worked on system called ESS.Ecosystem services meant to gather information over specific Ecosystems relating a site, for example (planting in Armenia). As groups, we have dealt with different Ecosystem topics, to be represented at last as one powerpoint presentation. Our group's topics were tourism, cultural services and genetic diversity.

These topics talked about the tourism of Armenia, related to the culture, and the biodiversity(Animals, Flora and fauna) of Armenia. Until this point we haven't had a clear image of what out project is.

After going to Armenia, we have met the owner of Greenlane, and some professors from Yerevan university. The project presented to the right is the final stage of the work, and it contained the design and presentation of the Greenlane center.

Planting design is a major object through the MLA program. Planting design 1 has been a class to teach planting in general, plants names, origin, climatic regions, soil acidity and other. In the second course, we had to design an area to be submitted as a final project. The project was a group work, and we have chose to take a part from our Atelier of Urban design project(Page 24-26) and to design it in a planting design perspective. Taking Armenia's region and climate area, continental with hot dry summers , cold and snowy winters, and soil condition as fertile, but would have low PH at the site, and for aesthetic and design reasons, we have given the place 3 zones to be planted. A rose garden(1), a wet land garden(2), and semi dry zone garden(3). A rose garden with different types of roses that has various sizes, tallness, colors and blooming seasons, to give the scene a nice , distinguished look all around the year, but all have in common the soil condition, and light needed conditions. We also added some other plants than roses in the rose area, to give some boundaries like using the topiary Buxus sempervirens , and also some other plants to give the scene more livelihood.

As for the wet area, which we have already planted a pond in the design phase, we have chose plants that grow in similar whether conditions, with the exception of having water pond around. some perennial grass types, lilies and other flowers.

As for the dry zone area, as long as for choosing dry zone grasses, flowers, we have also thought about integrating some fruit trees, the apricot .

The overall layout has been accepted by the professor, although he had a point on choosing too many plants , commenting that they would need a lot of care, and better to stick to three four types and to play with the design to make some thing beautiful. The layout has covered a graph table to show the grown and flowered plants over the seasons, with color coding, a technical drawing showing the design and specified areas, and some illustrations showing Armenia's climate zone and soil conditions.

As for all, we as a grouped worked hard on it, and gained experience on planting design and plants choosing.

Bachelor's of Architecture Projects German Jordanian University

In this part, I will present some works that has been done through my years in the German Jordanian University.

I have studied Architecture, then specified in interior architecture in my second year. That means, we are more integrated internally than urban, so we have take lighting design and color theory, while architecture students didn't take these subjects, instead, they took urban planning and design, and their design courses integrated more with the shell of the architecture, while we took more care of the core.

Assigned to build low-tech storage furniture, without using wood We were sat into groups of two, doing a simple functional idea was our goal decided to make it as circular cells, with openenings on different measures, on one half of the circle.

Patterns: Experiments in Colors and Geometry

I like to design geometrical patterns.

The paterns i creat are not based on measurments, they are based on the basic points of the first shape ex(circle).

Some patterns need to be mutated, or divided to show what it means (multiple celled), some shows from the first design ( single cells ) Sometimes i play with the last result, to show as an artistic piece.

Project week HFT AS groups, we were assigned to build anything with timber, which was dersroyd by a storm The project lasted for a week, with people from around the world.

The project itself was really cool, the most most intresting was the experience.

Our group decided to make a carpet, which can be placed on grass

Restaurant Design

This was a sub-project from the main design course ( Core and shell design).

The concept was to design something with eight 5*5m cubes.

Unfortunelty, i didn’t finish it probably, so i spent some time after the project was over, to make it as i wanted.

Since there is no Doctor to give me critics, i took it as visulisation project for myself.
