HEARTS ON FIRE. LIVES ON PURPOSE. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. –Hebrews 12: 28-29 “Our God is a consuming fire.” Consuming. He is an uncontained wildfire that consumes our entire being and leaves nothing untouched. Living with a surrendered and open heart to the consuming nature of God is what fuels us to a life free to hear and follow His voice. There is no other calling worth such devotion and commitment. KBM challenges and equips people to encounter our consuming God in such a way that their hearts catch on fire, causing them to live active Laboring lives of purposeful impact – Hearts on fire. Lives on purpose. As Laborers seek to live with complete dependence on God, they will be employed, empowered and dependent on Him to reach the world for Christ.

Laborers are those who are making a difference in people’s lives and in God’s Kingdom by actively and lovingly serving those around them. They get into the mud puddles of life’s deepest needs. They’re ordinary people who are making an extraordinary difference in the places where God has given them influence – their families, neighborhoods, communities, schools, workplaces, churches, etc. They’re taking their love for God into places all over the world by putting their Christian faith into action in practical and meaningful ways. Every Christian is uniquely designed by God to have an impact on the lives of others in ways that are meaningful and important. Every Christian is a minister. Every Christian is called to be a laborer. Our purpose is to fan the flame of a worldwide laborership movement that will bring God’s heart, His Kingdom and His will to the earth.

Caleb BISLOW Caleb is an adventurer on a mission. He has ventured to every inhabited continent, but has not seen many tourist attractions. Instead, his gaze has been set on igniting movements for Christ in dark, dangerous and despised places. He has a burning desire to minister in the areas that others neglect or may fear. It is in those places of risk that Caleb finds his true purpose in Christ. This upcoming year Caleb will be constantly on the lookout for the rare few that share his calling. He will strive to mobilize people to global action through speaking events and Unusual Soldiers training programs.

Adrian DESPRES Adrian’s passion is to see God bring revival into the hearts of people all over the world! Revival happens when men, women and youth realize they need to be forgiven of their sins. People need to realize that Godly sorrow leads to repentance and salvation, then leaves no regret! (2 Corinthians 7:10) He wants people who are in church and those who are not in the church consistently to be revived. It is possible to love God with all your heart in today’s culture. Adrian wants to give permission to all who will listen that the victorious Christian life is doable today! Christ wants to do it in each person, but it starts first with repentance. The next step is surrender. Christians should be willing to surrender their all to Christ as their Lord and Savior. You cannot hide what you love. When a person loves Jesus, it is obvious to the people around them. The purpose of revival is not for the person being revived only. It is for the people they will come in contact with.

Foster lives his life with a heart on fire for Jesus and a life on purpose by being about HIM daily; NOT just an event, NOT just when he is “on stage,” but in the daily, trivial things of life. These are the places where intimacy with Jesus is developed– in the produce section of the supermarket, at the gas pump, on the athletic field, in the office, at home. Foster believes it is in these DAILY activities, away from the stage, where people are truly set on fire. The stage BEGINS the spark, but the daily encounters with people ignite the flame. Josh WEIDMANN Josh Weidmann has traveled the world speaking to churched and un-churched crowds about the truth of the Gospel from the authority of God’s Word. Josh started preaching at a young age and soon found himself living out God’s calling on His life to communicate the Bible through whatever means possible. After the 1999 Columbine high school shooting tragedy in his hometown, God used Josh as a voice of hope to his generation around the nation.

Christian CHAPMAN Christian is a passionate man, full of energy and enthusiasm fueled by his great love of Jesus. He has served in ministry since graduating from Southern Wesleyan University. His journey has been anything but ordinary. His collegiate baseball experience led him to South Africa with AIA as a missionary to work with a team of South African nationals. He’s raced in the world’s most dangerous race, the Baja 1000, using the platform as a ministry opportunity. Christian has always been extreme for Christ and uses this extreme lifestyle to connect with the radical young generation. No matter where God has led Christian, preaching and evangelizing have been part of his calling. Most recently he released his first book, Testify, which was written to challenge Christians to use their God stories to change the world and bring others into a relationship with Christ.

PRAYER INITIATIVE Over 2,000 years ago Jesus surveyed the landscape of human need... and His heart broke. He saw aimless, hurting people everywhere. Throughout KBM’s 25 years of ministry we’ve been burdened by Jesus' declaration of what was needed for a broken world to be restored. In Matthew 9:37 Jesus pronounced Kingdom “laborers” as the world’s greatest need. However, what did Jesus prescribe we should do first– that matters most? In the next verse Jesus commanded our involvement through an imperative first instruction, "Pray..." Anyone and everyone who’s come close to the ministry of KBM quickly discovers prayer as a core ministry value. We don’t pray for the work. Prayer is the work. In fact, Jesus called us, not to consider it as a last line of defense, but to do it first. More than ever our staff and ministry board of directors are seeing God's work on the horizon. INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE The call for laborers (Matthew 9:35-38) living with hearts on fire and lives on purpose knows no geographical boundaries, ethnic separation, race differentiation or language specification. Humanity, in its entirety, is a mosaic expression of man being created in the image of God. KBM continues to encounter Kingdom hearted people around the world who carry the same burden, to challenge and equip Christians to be Kingdom Laborers. The Spirit has moved in the hearts of the staff at KBM and is increasing the burden for international involvement. MAN UP! INITIATIVE 93% of families follow a father into becoming Christians while only 17% follows a mother1. And yet, with these statistics, the typical U.S. church is 61% female and 39% male2. The gender gap in the church has been growing each year, with fewer men being present. KBM is passionate to see men spiritually and passionately leading in their families, churches and workplaces – to be living with masculine hearts on fire! Future generations of families need men who will labor and love as Godly husbands and fathers. KBM TRAINING Participating in a KBM training program is not as much about DOING MINISTRY as it is about becoming a person who lives a lifestyle of actively listening to and boldly following Christ everyday for the rest of life. We rely on God and seek to equip people to become active Kingdom Laborers. For the past 25 years, God has been using KBM to help fuel a worldwide movement of individuals who are God’s answer to Jesus’ prayer “to send more laborers into his harvest field” (Matthew 9:38). Although every person is uniquely created and designed by God, we believe there are 6 common characteristics (or realities) that are shared by every active Kingdom Laborer. As we engage students through training opportunities, we are seeking to outline these 6 realities as the goal for each life.

2. PASSION-DRIVEN Driven by love to the ultimate purpose of glorifying God’s Name.

PHASE 1: The intensive training phase is 55 days of intense discipleship training climaxing with an international mission into the heart of the Dominican Republic and Haiti... all designed to take students deeper in their relationship with God and help them live the rest of their life on-purpose for God’s Kingdom. PHASE 2: The coaching and support phase is ten months of on-going one-on-one coaching and support designed to challenge students to apply what they’ve learned during Phase 1 as they transition back into the context of their home and community environments. WHAT WILL WE BE DOING? The Experience is based on Kingdom Building Ministries’ philosophy of training. So, everything is designed to challenge students to live the rest of their life with a “heart on fire” for God and equip them to live a lifestyle of active ministry regardless of their professional career path.

THE DENVER STAGE: MAY 19 – JUNE 3 In this stage, students will be challenged by messages from KBM speakers, equipped through practical skill experiences and individual sessions with their one-on-one coach. They will engage various ministry experiences that will help them begin practicing a paradigm-shifting lifestyle of ministry.
THE DREAMING AND PLANNING STAGE: JULY 8 – JULY 14 During the last seven days of the intensive training phase, we will look at all the experiences, lessons learned and skills acquired and begin to dream and plan about how God will use each student to reach their world for Christ.
THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE: JUNE 4 – JUNE 21 This stage will challenge students to grow in their understanding of God’s heart for the nations as they learn to engage and serve multiple cultures in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
THE MINISTRY AND SUPPORT STAGE: JULY 15, 2012 – MAY 17, 2013 The entire program is focused on preparing students for the moment they return home. In this stage, we’ll be meeting by phone on monthly conference calls as a team. In addition, each student will continue to be coached from a distance by their assigned coach, who will provide encouragement and accountability as students seek to live out the life and the plan God reveals for them.
THE DEEP CAMP STAGE: JUNE 24 – JUNE 29 In this stage, students will experience the value of investing their lives into others. They will continue to have the opportunity to learn from KBM’s speakers and staff as they serve as camp counselors to a group of high school students at KBM’s Deep Camp. THE WANDER STAGE: JUNE 30 – JULY 7 This stage is uniquely designed to be a mystery. All we can say is that students will be “wandering” on an amazing race-style, multistate road trip filled with many ministry opportunities and learning experiences designed to stretch their faith, keep them guessing and see the world through a different set of eyes.

SOME TOPICS MAY INCLUDE:
1. STRANDED (UNUSUAL SOLDIERS BASIC TRAINING) Stranded is for those that have a missionary zeal and are ready for an adventure. Stranded is the “basic training” of unusual soldiers. The first three days are geared to challenge students in the back country. It will be a time of adventure, stress, and survival as they brave some scenarios commonly encountered by unusual soldiers overseas. Following the outdoor phase students will be trained on the core values of being an unusual soldier at the ministry headquarters. One must be prepared for discomfort and unpredictability if they are going to be a part of this missionary training program. It’s tough...It’s grueling...It’s rewarding.

2. SLINGSHOT (UNUSUAL SOLDIERS ADVANCED TRAINING) "Launching Unusual Soldiers Forward" This is an intense week of training for those that sense a calling to be Unusual Soldiers for Christ. This training is for those who are called to a life of risk for Christ and want to advance the gospel in dark, dangerous, or despised places. It will be led by Caleb Bislow and will include workbooks, multiple audio/visual seminars, and help in developing personal ministry strategy. This training is a step up from Stranded and it will focus more on the practicalities of being an Unusual Soldier. If participants desire they may do Stranded and Slingshot back to back.

16 DAYS is a physically, emotionally, and spiritually intense discipleship
program structured around 16 days of travel to several locations within the U.S.... all designed to challenge high school students toward deeper and deeper levels of spiritual devotion. This practical, hands-on adventure is packed with action and suspense that will keep students on their toes. The goal of 16 Days is to provide developmental teaching, one-on-one coaching, experiential training, and life skills that will help students to live passionately for Christ and impact the world around them with His love and truth.

Intensive Discipleship Phase In the Intensive Discipleship Phase, students will participate in a 16 day adventurous road trip beginning at one of the launch locations across the United States. The KBM staff will utilize intense outdoor adventure experiences, teaching from KBM speakers, team building and one-on-one coaching to challenge the student team. 16 Days lands back at the launch location for student debriefing and practical application training designed to help students carry their experience back into real life. Ministry and Support Phase In the Ministry and Support Phase (24 weeks), students will return home and begin applying what they’ve learned in the “real world” with the encouragement, accountability and support of the one-on-one coach assigned to them during the program.

PURSUE GOD’S CALL TO DEEPER DEVOTION WHAT IS DEEP CAMP?
Deep Camp equips spiritual roots to go deeper so that kingdom influence can reach wider. Deep Camp is a unique 5-day spiritual formation camp that takes high school students beyond surface Christianity, to engaging less familiar realities, enabling entry into a world of EXTREME heart and life-long devotion to God. Deep Camp teaching times with KBM itinerant speakers is focused on a lifestyle of loving God and others (as Jesus taught). Camp activities include exciting challenges, recreation and team building activities; but ultimately Deep Camp drives students to surrender to a life fully committed to Jesus as King! Through daily interaction and candid discussion about students’ lives and struggles, the speakers, worship band, and staff will walk alongside the students as they answer God’s call to deeper devotion to Him.
