INTRODUCTION Thank you all for being on board for this season’s collection. To support you in the best way we can, this in-store season guide will give you some basic need-to-knows that will contribute to your sales. We’ve included: - - - - - -

THE COLLECTION The FW16 collection will be divided into five deliveries. Each delivery will in turn be divided into three sub-themes. This way we gradually guide you through the collection’s storyline. PRODUCT NUMBERS To clarify how our products are divided across all deliveries, we’ve given each item a product number, followed by a three-digit extension. To indicate NOOS (Never Out of Stock) and key items, we have added a letter. For example: 004005-621 6 = year (6 for 2016) 2 = season (1 = summer / 2 = winter) 1 = number of the delivery drop (1 = 1st delivery, 2 = 2nd delivery, etc.) NOOS products Key items

In each delivery, NOOS items are presented before the regular items.
MARKETING CAMPAIGN People take the center stage at YAYA’s. They are not merely customers, fans, followers or likers; they are human beings and we want to give them an experience. We’d like to refer to this as P2P marketing. STORYTELLING With the aim of connecting to real human experiences, we have chosen to incorporate storytelling into our content marketing strategy. We believe this is a far more effective way of establishing a continuous relationship with our customers than traditional marketing campaigns. Stories are easy to understand, easy to remember and easy to relate to. Moreover, they’re demographic-proof and highly contagious. We choose dialogue over a megaphone anytime. 360 DEGREES MARKETING With storytelling as the main thread throughout our entire marketing campaign, we have created a way of unifying offline and online media to ensure that our customers fully grasp the feeling we’d like to spread. This way we create a 360 degrees view on our marketing campaign. This campaign basically follows the collection, deliveries and their subthemes. We’ll using the following channels to communicate our story: • Website • Newsletter • Facebook • Instagram
• Pinterest • Stores • Visual Merchandising
IMAGE CENTRIC MARKETING Many people are visually oriented. To accommodate this need for visuals we deliver brief but comprehensive messages in a visually attractive way. UNITY IS KEY To create a consistent image we always make sure the content on all of these channels is aligned perfectly. The story is meant to create an experience. An experience that will have a bigger impact when online and offline work as a team: in-store communication will respond to this with catchy visuals, key item triangles and key item cards. Your promo pack will be equipped with (a part of) these in-store communication items. PROMOPACKS Each promo pack contains one or more copies of the following media: • In-store season guide • Brand shoot visuals • Brochures • Goodies • Retail calendar Depending on order volume, the promo pack may contain goodies and brochures, possibly supplemented with key item triangles, how-to-wear cards, brand shoot cards, banners, larger visuals, new collection signing and service signing. If you need more copies, please feel free to order them online in our webshop at cost price (section SHOP SUPPLIES). Keep in mind that stock is limited. IN-STORE SEASON GUIDE Our Bible for this season that gives you all information regarding this season’s collection, including storytelling, key items, product information, Visual Merchandising instructions, marketing campaign, a home handout, goodies and shop supplies. BRAND SHOOT VISUALS Pictures used in our marketing campaign that visually tell the story throughout the collection. KEY ITEM TRIANGLES Triangle-shaped cards with visuals on one side and information about our key items on the other. These triangles are designed to inspire customers in the store on how to wear these key items. HOW-TO-WEAR CARDS Visuals depicting how to wear the key items with the rest of our collection. BROCHURE: A visual overview of all how-to-wears. RETAIL CALENDAR A detailed schedule that includes delivery dates, subthemes, color schemes, campaign visuals, lookbook visuals and key items and dates on when to present this in-store. Can be found at the back of the in-store season guide and separately. NEW COLLECTION AND SERVICE SIGNING Specific signs to be put in the store containing relevant information regarding the collection, the brand, service and possible vacancies. VISUAL MERCHANDISING Our styling department designs collections that are balanced, yet surprising, trendy, yet unique. Each delivery and each sub-theme contains color schemes, fabrics and finishes that visualize the story behind the collection. To make sure that the synergy of the storyline and the collection comes into its own, we kindly ask you to follow our guidelines with respect to visual merchandising. SILENT SALES FORCE Working with different color schemes is crucial in order to show your customers a variety of options. With cleverly coordinated color schemes it will appear as if you have more to offer. A visually appealing and commercially strong presentation of our story will not only create a real shopping experience with a YAYA feeling, but will mostly enhance sales. A proper and balanced buy-in, an attractive display and an honest consult will result in a better sell-out. Visual Merchandising is basically a ‘silent sales force’, as your customers will be able to browse through the store by themselves, merely with the help of your display. Customers will think they have created their own set, while in fact their choices have been silently influenced by the strength of the presentation. VISUAL MERCHANDISING GUIDELINES Please use the following guidelines when presenting the collection in your store: • • • • • • • • •
Create sets by placing matching items next to each other Create color themes Use different colors on your walls Put the key items on the front Use key item cards to support the key items on the front Dress up the garments on the front for inspiration Roll up the sleeves (occasionally) Make sure the how-to-wear items are placed close to the key item itself Play with colors and prints on the table by displaying clothing and HOME accessories
HOW-TO-WEAR CARDS AND KEY ITEM TRIANGLES Our key item cards and key item triangles will enhance the presentation of our collection. First of all because we keep promoting these images in our online and offline communication to create recognition and enhance sales, second of all because these visuals inspire the customer on how to wear the items. Please pay attention when using these key item visuals by making sure they’re presented straight and neatly aligned with other key item visuals in the same compartment. Check the retail calendar in the back to make sure the visuals match the delivery. TIP: Take a step back from your display to have a good look at your Visual Merchandising. Keep an open mind and get inspired by new ideas that may come up. This will help you present your collection to its full extend. PS: We’d love to see your shop! So instead of focusing on acquiring new things, we fill our lives with ordinary yet priceless moments that shape our view of the world. We feel our creativity flow as we sip a cup of coffee in the morning and listen to the sound of silence. The smell of a farmer ’s land brings us back to our childhood when climbing trees was our primary form of enter tainment. When we seek empowerment, it’s the sea that gives us our sense of freedom. We marvel at the forest’s colors, textures and layers and the immaculate grandeur of the stars in the sky amaze us each and every night. Have we taken these small things for granted? we wonder. And so we’re grateful for this realization. We re-appreciate what’s right in front of us: it’s epic. It carefully reminds us of our own endless potential.

Superlative “All I hear is the wonder of silence. The world is still asleep. Only the sun carefully peaks through the window, gently telling me a new day has come. As I stretch my body I feel the softness of the sheets caress my skin. It all seems comfor tably surreal, yet pure. Just me, the sun and silence.” This is the kind of purity we treasure at YAYA. Those precious late summer mornings that star t with the first gleams of the sun and a hot cup of coffee, while you dreamily glance at nature’s ways. These are the moments that inspired us when we designed our first delivery of this Fall-W inter collection. We imagined waking up in an idyllic cottage in the middle of nature and envisioned what we’d like our clothes to feel like, keeping in mind that those early mornings are a little chilly and utterly fresh. Words like the comfor t of a second-skin, the tenderness of soft materials and the warmth of a new coat came to our minds. They’re all effor tless to slip into. We’d love to give you this experience as well. We believe our designs will. The softness of the leather top feels like second skin, almost unnoticeable when you wear it. The elegant cupro kimono-blazer gracefully flows around you as you make coffee. And if you quickly wish to enjoy this coffee on the front porch, you just slip into the gorgeous long, wool overcoat - unlined for a light and easy fit - and take in the fresh air while you keep your body warm. Treasure these moments of simply ‘being’. Appreciate the silence around you. Nothing matters but now.

2 Unretouched “The grass underneath my feet itches a little. I feel the mud slide between my toes. It’s slightly wet from the autumn rains. I can’t help but to laugh out loud as I give into the urge of running across the meadows. Dir t on my legs and on my face; I’ve gone from makeup to mud in a split second. I feel free. Entirely.” The raw, pure and playful mood of being in the fields has been our source of inspiration when we star ted designing the second delivery of our collection. We pictured ourselves in the rustic countryside, where being feminine doesn’t matter. A place with endless possibilities to enjoy the simple things in life. Time for our inner tomboy to come out, climb trees, milk the cows and hug the sheep. The possibility of getting dir ty as we play in the fields: we realized that we’d need firm, comfor table and warm clothing to protect us. Apparel that remind us of the beauty of the countryside, which needs nothing more than comfor t and warmth. It led to designing a collection that’s characterized by chunky knits, authentic weaving patterns, sturdy and firm items that can be worn in different ways. Three items in this delivery embody this thought per fectly. The poncho overcoat with the teddy lining is one of our favorites: climbing the trees is so much easier with shor t sleeves! We love how we can wear this coat inside out as well… And then there’s the dungarees. A truly old-fashioned essential that reminds us of our own childhood days when comfor t was all we cared about. Just as we appreciate that authentic countryside feeling of the herringbone pants; we’re just about to pick up a spade and star t shoveling in our own home garden. We’ve learned that all we need to experience a true feeling of bliss is braided hair, the countryside and lots of playtime.

Sea Salted “I feel the majestic power of the wind as I watch how the waves roughly curl up in the ocean and the clouds dramatically own their all-seeing task. I seek protection in these harsh surroundings at sea. They remind me of my own vulnerability. Still, I feel at ease. I dream of coming home where warmth and safety are my own.” The light autumn days are slowly making room for the raw and dark vibes of cold winter days. We’ll be seeking more shelter against the wind and the rain, but we’re not ready to give up our life in the outdoors yet. As a matter of fact, with this delivery we’re taking it one step fur ther: we’re defying the sea, welcoming this incredibly force of nature. It will not get us down, we need our vitamin sea. It’s been the ocean and its grand gestures that drove us towards protective clothing: wax coatings, lots of layering and a comfor table fit. Moreover, we’ve chosen to design items with nautical references, preppy items and a subtle marine look. This is life at sea: we welcome every rain shower and fight every storm. The wax coating of the long bomber gives us that feeling of protection against heavy weather, the asymmetrical stripes of the loose-fitted sweater give us that typical navy look and we love the preppy-college-girl-goes-nautical look of the spencer. Still, we can’t wait for that moment when we get back home and wrap ourselves in the comfor t of the pullover with its playful straps. We sea clearly. No matter how harsh the sea may be, we’re the captains of our own ship.
3.1 Dark desires It’s getting harsher outside. Protect yourself from those cold winds and heavy rains, but don’t let those dark days stop you from getting out on the sea. 3.2 Sailor stripes again! After all, true sailors aren’t afraid of those colder, shor ter days at sea. They get out on the ocean time after time. Striped and all. 3.3 It’s maritime! We can outsmar t the stormy sea anytime. It only takes a nautical, preppy look, a large imagination (and you not taking our words too seriously). 3.4 Snug as a bug in a rug What’s better than snuggling on the couch in an oversized cardigan and drinking hot chocolate after a long, windy walk on the beach?

Wood Wood “The woods are like magic to me. Take one close look and you’ll discover it’s filled with surprises. Bright colors against ear thy and white tones, soft moss that covers the strong bark of the trees. Its contrasts astonish me, leaving me hungry, as my curiosity grows with every discovery I make.” Every detail in nature, no matter how tiny, can become an inspiration: every color, every texture, every finish. The layered mushrooms against the trees, the soft moss covering the ear th, red, wild flowers or the natural colors of sand, dir t and branches. We’ve opened our minds to these details when we star ted designing this four th delivery. We aimed for a collection that would translate these details into wearable, feminine designs. Designs that would have that velvety feel of moss, so it would feel like you’re lying on the softest spot in the forest. Subtle layered details that remind you of those bracket fungi – versicolors – that decorate the trees. Colors so bright it would take us back to the fields of wild flowers right next to the woods. The chunky knitted chenille cardigan and its rounded fit magically gives you that feeling of soft moss with its green color. We can imagine ourselves wandering through the forests, completely blending in. The off-white crew neck ribbed top is our interpretation of the layers we encounter in versicolors. Moreover, our collection contains a few bright red items that remind us of wild poppies, but it’s the long knitted dress and the lace-up details that stole our hear ts. We hope we’ve star ted your hunger for more walks in the forest.

Isn’t it just magical that we, as insignificant as we may seem in the universe, can be a meaningful par t of it all? We’re a bunch of wondrous individuals with a chance to use our own magnificence for the better. This notion is what we brought to the table when designing our final delivery of this season’s collection. The celestial beauty is our source of inspiration. Shiny textures, star prints, dark colors and an overall cosmic feeling get united with simple solutions to ensure a relaxed, comfor table fit. We’ve tried to surprise you with these designs. It’s slightly more chic, yet we’ve been true to our spor ty and relaxed nature. We can’t stop twirling with the black, pleated midi skir t and its leather look. This season’s YAYA HOME collection is inspired by the trend of giving classic and vintage items a new look by taking them out of their usual context, while loosely following our YAYA WOMEN storyline. We loved playing with existing ideas and combining them in a way that’s never been done before. It’s resulted in a surprising and unexpected mix of materials, styles and techniques and remarkable items. Items that clearly have a fifties, sixties and seventies feel, yet with a modern twist. Furniture, tableware, stationery, home décor… it’s all there. Although we’ve come up with a unique HOME collection, we’ve related a few items to the stories of YAYA WOMEN’S delivery one through five: our vintage mirrors match that morning feeling of our first delivery known as ‘Superlative’, the marble and wooden cutting boards go with ‘Unretouched’, the jelly fish fit in with ‘Sea Salted’, as do the mosaic patterns and wooden candle holders with ‘Wood Wood’.
