As an Architecture student at the Architectural Association, I am deeply engaged in exploring how architecture influences society and public behavior. My academic journey has equipped me with essential skills in design, CAD, and 3D modeling, along with a profound understanding of how architectural spaces can shape community interactions and societal norms. I am passionate about creating designs that not only aesthetically please but also foster positive social dynamics. Through this internship, I aim to apply my knowledge and skills to practical challenges, contributing to projects that prioritize social engagement and community well-being.

A research lead architecture workshop focuses on building worlds that will be influenced by different variables, reconstructing a combination of existing and potential realities which are to include buildings and landscape. During this workshop, I was exposed to the front-edge design tools, processes, and presentation skills, and I realized the importance of research, adopting new technologies into architecture design, and the potential of architecture.

Liverpool, UK Project I RNLI Lifeboat Station
2020 Oct. - Dec.
ARCH202 Design Coursework
Tutor: Marcus Schofield
Individual
The project is to build a lifeboat station for Ainsdale beach, “one of the premier beaches in the UK for extreme kite activities, with zones set aside for kite buggy & land board". The chosen site for the RNLI station sits in the sand dunes above the beach, in an area of approx. 9000 sqm.
There are lots of people who are always ready to serve the public in obscure ways, police officers, street cleaners, firefighters… These are characters who are easily ignored by the enormous while they do lots of contributions to society. For the aspect of beach safeguards, people will not notice them even when they are in trouble until they are saved by the brave safeguards. In the lifeboat station design, I want to stress how the Ainsdale beach is protected by the RNLI. This idea will not only improve the social esteem of the RNLI volunteers but also make the tourists feel safer.
For a charity-funded organization, it is important to let the public know how it works and how the donation is used if the work of the RNLI lifeboat station is transparent and accessible to the public while not interrupting volunteers’ work. Since it is a lifeboat station, working efficiently should be one of its basic requirements.

RNLI History
Sir William Hillary’s vision for a service dedicated to saving lives at sea became a reality in Bishopsgate’s trendy London Tavern on 4 March 1824. Foundation

The arrival of the motor lifeboat Royal Silver Jubilee at Wellsnext-the-Sea in Norfolk marked the end of the iconic sight of horses pulling lifeboats. Last horse-powered launch

Working Method
needs to work more effectively in partnership with other organisations and identify how to influence lifesaving through policy-makers and regulators.
RNLI can prevent more tragedies through the lifeguard service around the UK and Ireland – and help international communities to set up lifeguard services.
While maintaining our core, world-class lifeboat and lifeguard services, we will further develop our relationship with other search and rescue organizations in the UK and Ireland to help save more lives.
Our education work can save more lives by promoting safety through behavior change campaigns, products and messages, and by working more closely with communities.
RNLI Lifeguards
RNLI lifeguards starting patrolling beaches in 2001 and are now an essential part of our seamless rescue service from the beach to the open sea.

In-house manufacture of the Shannon class lifeboat brings a new era of lifesaving to the RNLI.

The COVID-19 pandemic illustrates the danger of relying on global supply chains for essential medical supplies, while climate change demands reductions in the enormous carbon footprint of international trade. Which represents the United Kingdom now facing the challenges of producing products in a domestic context sustainably.
As a response, to contribute as part of the UK's new production industry, the project is proposed as a
university facility to explore sustainable production with recycled plastic material.
The project is a rennovation project of exsisted Electric Engineering Building in UoL campus, and proposed as a plastic material research center with an exhibition hall for public to DIY their own plastic product by recycling their used plastic objects.

Project III RETHINKING SILVERSTONE
Flexible Housing in an Adaptive Community
Silverstone, UK
2023 Sep. - Now
Y4 Project, Unit 14, AA Diploma (in progress)

Tutor: Pierre d'Avoine, Pereen d'Avoine Individual Project Infraordinary Record in Silverstone
Motorsports is an important part of Silverstone; it makes Silverstone one of the most famous villages in the world and it also deeply shapes some of the villager’s life. Recent years have seen the British Grand Prix become one of the largest attended events on the F1 calendar, with 2023 attracting some of the biggest names in sport, music and culture, as the race drew in a record crowd of 480,000 across the weekend – with over 60,000 fans camping in the local area.
Lots of villagers in Silverstone economically relies on motorsports, and this kinds of ‘periodic’ or ‘circulation’ feels like almost a characteristic of the village.
The expansion of motorsports and the following development of the village, hugely challenged the village’s lifestyle and community. It seems that, both the village and villagers has been involved in motorsports, but at the same times, somehow disconnected, passively accept the reality brought by Motorsports.
The proposed carpark & the surrounding housing is a business example for silverstone residents, that promoting a flexible living style to diversify their income and lifestyle and build bridge between different communities in Silverstone, villagers, farmer, workers and enthusiasts. It is not about completely solving the parking issue in Silverstone, which probably a single building can never achieve, but is to promoting a unique lifestyle that can only been experienced in Silverstone.

Silverstone Village & Camping
Currently, more than 8 farm (more than 1,194,000sqm farm land, capable of helding 102,000 people) has been doing camping & gliamping during Grand Prix weekends. In 2023, over 60,000 fans camping around the silverstone. The in efficient camping business inefficiently occupies much more farmland than it needs to be.
The problem with current layout, is the campingsite is either too far away from the circuit, or the village, especially the majortiy of fans have to live away from the village.
Silverstone need a place to provide more accessable living spaces during racing weeks, with more options of food , supply and entertainment facilities for better experience.

Project IV Imagineering a Screen New Deal
Los Angeles, US
2021 July. - Sep.
Tutor: Hadin Charbel, Deborah Lopez Groupwork Project
Yanjie Huang, Lihua Feng, Yucheng Kuang, Jiangwen Lu
(All the drawings are produced by the applicant if not specified)

Proposed Senario
The project is to re-imagine a Screen New Deal for Disney, a sustainable filming and entertainment production method in 2050 to promote the company's sustainable figure in the context of global warming.
The project propose a revewal project of the Los Angeles Disneyland by creating a new filming methodology within the Disneyland for their future movies, and reusing the movie filmset from
Disney's Los Angeles filming studio, that integrate filming and entertaining into one single complex.
Like all other companies, the ambitious of the Mickey Mouse doesn't stop at 'being environmental friendly' but using 'environmental friendly' as camouflage to generate economical revenue and cover its extravagant movie making in the background.

Workflow From Moive To Reality Original Site
02. Split the filmsets into voxels and protect them within the exterior modular wood skeleton structure.
01. Filming at the sound stage with the filmset.

04. Arrived at Disneyland, the filmsets will be handed to the transfer apartment and sent to a specific selection sector later.
03. Then the filmsets will be loaded into the truck containers and transferred from the production sound stage to Disney Resort.

05. Filmsets are processed, selected and recomposed inside the transfer center and waiting to be dispatched.
07. Finally, the tower crane or craw crane will lift up the filmset voxels.
08. Selecting voxels to construct functional space and storages depending on their characteristics.

06. Filmsets and voxels travel through the Disneyland Resort and eventually arrived at a specific site.
