JARDÍN BOTÁNICO

The Joaquin Antonio Uribe Botanical Garden of Medellín, more simply known as the Botanical Garden of Medellín, is a 14-hectare botanical garden in Medellín, Colombia. The botanical garden has more than 1,000 living species and 4,500 flowers. It has an important collection of orchids preserved in an architectural space called the "Orchidiarium".


EXCHANGE LANGUAGE You can find a language partner who has complementary language skills to you. Language exchanges are free and very informal. Â You and your language exchange partner are simply exchanging time and helping each other learn your respective languages. Â If you and your partner are intermediate or advanced level, you can spend a longer time speaking in each language.


MUSEO DE ARTE MODERNO (MAMM)

Museum of Modern Art of Medellín (MAMM) is a museum of modern art in the Colombian city of Medellín. Many artworks by Débora Arango, who was born in Medellín, are part of the museum's collection, is definitely worth a visit with an intriguing mix of exhibitions located in a striking building.


PUEBLITO PAISA

Pueblito Paisa (Little Town) is located on the top of Nutibarra Hill (Cerro Nutibarra) in Medellin. This replica of a typical turn of the century Antioquia town comes complete with its traditional stone fountain in the middle of the town square and is surrounded by the church and rectory, the mayor’s office, a barber shop, and a one-room school house


MUSEO DE ARTE MODERNO (MAMM)

A good place to see outdoor sculptures of artist Fernando Botero Antioquia is the square that bears his name, in the centre of Medellin. There, in an area of 7,500 square meters, there is an exhibit of 23 works of the artist and two water fountains made by master. In the square famous works as such as 'The Hand', 'Man and Horse' and 'Eva' are seen.


SALSA DAY

We organize fun and friendly Salsa Day in Medellin. Enjoy an exciting night out, make new friends, learn to dance salsa and above all enjoy the party with us. Beginners Welcome, No Partner Required.


TEJO SPORT Tejo is a traditional Colombian sport which is believed to have been originated over few centuries ago. The sport is played in only Colombia at a recreational and competitive level. Often times all this is done with a "cerveza" or "aguardiente" in hand. While it is a game of skill it is often associated with drinking, making it a very social game.


IMPROVISATION THEATER (IMPRODUKTIVOS) Improvisational theater, often called improv or impro, is the form of theater, often comedy, in which most of all is performed is unplanned or unscripted: spontaneously created by the performers. In its purest form, the dialogue, action, story, and characters are created collaboratively by the players as the improvisation unfolds in present time, without use of an already prepared, written script.


MUSEO DE ARTE MODERNO (MAMM)

Visit Medellin’s touristy icons, we will show you the Medellin´s most representative locations on a customized. There is enough free time to walk around and take the best postcard pictures, with convenient facilities where to use bathrooms or grab snacks at any time.


MUSEUM OF ANTIOQUIA The Museum of Antioquia (Museo de Antioquia) is an art museum in Medellín, Colombia. It houses a large collection of works by Medellín native Fernando Botero and Pedro Nel Gómez. It was the first museum established in Antioquia department and the second in Colombia. The museum is located in the center of Medellín on the Botero Plaza near the Berrío Park metro station.


CASTLE MUSEUM A Gothic medieval castle surrounded by striking French gardens in the neighbourhood of El Poblado. It is the Museum El Castillo, built in 1930 by the firm HM Rodriguez, who were inspired by the castles of the Loire Valley in France. The building became a museum in 1972. Its collection of fine and decorative arts includes European and Colombian artists’ paintings.


DRINKING VILLAGE It is an integration space where alcoholic beverages typical of each country are shared, as well as part of their history and essence. It is a diverse event that seeks integration, multiculturalism and the realization of new friendships


FINAL SEMESTER PARTY

We will hold an integration party at the end of the semester, where all the AIESEcers will be able to enjoy the company together, integration, fun, surprises and games.
