Specialty Breast Cancer Care in Guilford, Connecticut The Breast Cancer Specialty Team at the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Guilford brings together clinicians whose focus is caring for patients with breast cancer on the Connecticut Shoreline. This enables patients to meet with multiple, highlyskilled Smilow Cancer Hospital specialists in breast imaging, medical oncology, breast surgery, radiation oncology, and reconstructive/plastic surgery. This team approach provides newly diagnosed patients with a carefully determined, personalized treatment plan focused on providing the most comprehensive, effective care possible. Oncology nurse coordinators, social workers, dieticians, clinical research staff, palliative care expertise, and survivorship planning are also available for our patients. In addition, our designation as Connecticut’s only National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center brings the most advanced access to clinical trials to our patients throughout the Smilow Cancer Hospital Network.
