Thoracic Oncology Specialty Team

at Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Greenwich

The Thoracic Oncology Specialty Team at the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Greenwich brings together clinicians with expertise in lung and esophageal cancers to care for patients in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. Dr. Justin Blasberg’s surgical practice includes minimally invasive and open surgical management for diseases of the esophagus, lung, mediastinum, chest wall, thoracic outlet, and diaphragm. He also performs first rib resection and anterior scalenectomy for all varieties of thoracic outlet syndrome, sympathectomy for hyperhidrosis, and minimally invasive chest wall reconstructions for pectus deformities. Dr. Sung Lee, medical oncologist, and Dr. Bruce McGibbon, radiation oncologist, collaborate closely with Dr. Blasberg to provide specialized care from an experienced team. Clinical trials are available to patients through Yale Cancer Center, Connecticut’s only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.

A comprehensive lung cancer screening program also provides dedicated early detection for at risk patients.
