









































Smilow Cancer Hospital Gastrointestinal Oncology expertise is conveniently available in Bridgeport, Fairfi eld, Trumbull, and Westport, bringing together a team of clinicians to offer patients with gastrointestinal cancers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of complex disease. Patients also have access to our Multidisciplinary GI Tumor Board, Hepatic Arterial Infusion (HAI) Program, and our Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) Program, offering innovative treatment options not available elsewhere in the area. Our team of medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists, diagnostic and interventional radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, gastroenterologists, pathologists, and others provide the most up-to-date and effective treatments available for patients diagnosed with cancers of the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, colon, bile ducts, rectum, and anus. Clinical trials are available locally to patients through Yale Cancer Center, Connecticut’s only National Cancer Institutedesignated comprehensive cancer center. Together, with leadership from Pamela Kunz, MD, professor of internal medicine (medical oncology), and Kiran Turaga, MD, MPH, FACS, professor of surgery (oncology), they ensure that all patients diagnosed with a gastrointestinal cancer in Fairfi eld County are provided with exceptional care from an experienced team.
