Omar Al Asad, MD, is an Instructor of Clinical Medicine (Medical Oncology) at Yale Cancer Center and cares for patients at the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Torrington, CT. Dr. Al Asad received his Medical Degree from the University of Jordan, and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he received both an Outstanding Medical Oncology Fellow Award and a Resident of the Year Award.

Dr. Al Asad will focus his practice in Torrington on prostate and urologic cancer care, lung cancer, and benign hematology. He joins Dr. Katherine Harvey and Dr. Ashita Talsania in Torrington providing expert cancer care and treatment to patients and families in Litchfield County and the surrounding communities.
