Message from the Sponsor Engen is proud and excited to bring criterium Cycle race festivals to the streets of South Africa as we continue our support of this dynamic sport. It is our hope that the new Cycle in the City events will draw cyclists of all forms to the city’s streets in celebration of sharing the road in a safe and secure environment.

Cycle in the City is not only for cyclists competing for their own personal goals but also for those on the side-lines, the all-important spectators or supporters. In addition to the on-the-road action we are excited to be incorporating outdoor festival elements into this criterium series, with live music performances, kid’s entertainment, craft beer, artisanal food markets and fun for the whole family.

In true festival spirit the Cycle in the City criterium series boasts a variety of categories for all to participate in, from the “Crazy Cranks” to “Street Kings” for those with more of a competitive spirit.

We would like to relay our heartfelt thanks to all who have chosen to participate, as100% of your Cycle in the City entry fee will be donated to selected local charities for the betterment of children.
