The History Of MREs

MREs, or meals ready to eat, were originally developed by the United States military to feed troops who were out in the field or at war. These troops needed a healthy and hot meal that was easy to prepare regardless of their current circumstances.

Over the course of time civilians learned about meals ready to eat and began to purchase them for their bug out gear, food supplies, camping gear and other emergency food storage purposes. These are ideal for a variety of purposes as even the youngest members of a camping trip or bug out group can carry some of these in their packs. read more

Be A Voice Not An Echo

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” – Rachel Carson
