At East High School, like many other schools across the United States, the number of students using AI is continuously growing. Studies show that about 86% of students in the U.S. use AI to complete their work or study. While AI can be a useful and unique tool for learning, its overuse—especially when students rely on it to do their work for them—can have a lot of consequences. Students may not realize that using AI in this way limits their ability to learn and encourages them to depend on technology. Depending on technology can negatively impact their time management skills. With AI allowing students to complete assignments quickly and effortlessly, they may struggle with work ethics and meeting deadlines in real-world scenarios where these tools are unavailable. Eventually, this could affect their ability to perform effectively in professional settings.

The 2025 LCCC Student Art Show will be on display from April 7 through May 11 in the Esther and John Clay Fine Art Gallery at the 1400 East College Drive campus. Entries Sought for Zonta of Cheyenne’s Art Contest
Zonta Club of Cheyenne is seeking entries from artists of all ages and styles and experience for its 10th Annual Art Contest. This year’s theme is Bystanders Can be Heros: End Domestic Violence. Artists are asked to convey their unique vision of how bystander interventions may help curb aggressive behaviours and de-escalate situations of harassment or violence. Submissions must be dropped off at the RE/MAX office, 4000 Central Avenue in Cheyenne no later than 4:00pm on April 25. Cheyenne Police Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence in the 800 block of West 5th Street. The door of a vacant unit was kicked in and a movie projector was ripped from the ceiling. Surveillance video shows two unknown individuals entering the garage and leaving with a projector.
