Swim & Lifesaving Instructor

Learn how to teach Lifesaving Swim for Life lessons. This training also includes your certification to teach Bronze courses. Instructors will learn long term and short term lesson planning, class management and safety supervision.

Prerequisites:

Standard First Aid

Includes: Manuals

Total training Hours: 40 Hours, classroom and water sessions

***Volunteer teaching required outside of set program for employment at SEAPARC

Red Cross Babysitters Course Ages 11+

Learn to care for children of various ages. Basic first aid and personal safety measures are emphasized throughout this workshop. Participants will also learn a variety of age appropriate games to give them the tools to be a great babysitter. A training manual is included in the course fee. A Red Cross Babysitters certification card will be provided upon successful completion of the course.

Summer Sharks Swim Group Ages 7-14

This swim and aquatic activity group will work on swimming skills, endurance, try aquatic sports and play fun games. Participants will build confidence in the water while having a ton of fun with their friends. Swim for the hour and then stay for the Fun Swim From 1:00-3:00pm.

***Swimming ability: must be comfortable in deep water and be able to swim 25 M with face in the water.
