Welcome to Mor Media ESF Get Creative workshops
Mor Media is a charity that brings people together through our Community programmes and runs Education & Training in Cornwall; enhances career prospects and deepens understanding with our Industry work, and innovates with a year-round film Events programme.
As a charity, we now support over 12000 people across our projects every year. Delivering highquality skill-based training to young people and adult learners, we aim to train and inspire content makers to grow in confidence and gain worthwhile transferable skills which can enhance both their professional and personal lives.
Through our projects people can: Improve self-esteem and confidence
Improve their digital literacy skills
Learn practical filmmaking and creative digital skills
Actively participate in cultural production
Foster resilience (particularly young people) through meaningful participation
Mor Media charity offers courses and workshops under the ESF Get Creative and we would now like to offer OCN unit accreditation alongside our courses.
OCN London aims to support learning and widening opportunities by recognising achievement through credit-based courses and qualifications, promoting high standards of excellence and
inclusiveness. We have selected several of OCNs units in order to offer a range of creative skills that relate to our workshops and courses. These include;
Digital Photography via our Picturing High Streets workshops
Narrative Writing via our Diaries and Journaling and Introduction to Novel Writing workshops
Creative Writing Skills – via our New Wave Jury film reviewing sessions.
Digital Content Creation – audio and video via our Intern programme
Digital Content Creation – text and image via our Intern programme
When taking part in one of our courses you will be asked to fill out a task assessment sheet that will include the work you did during the workshop, a follow up activity and a reflection on the work. You can then submit this to your tutor who will mark it and submit it to OCN for accreditation. If anything is missing from the submission your tutor will return it with comments and allow you to re-submit it by an agreed date.
