TheCanterbury Cancer Centre

When you have cancer having a place to go is more precious than you think.

This year 26,000 New Zealanders will learn they have cancer. This number is set to double in the next decade. When you have cancer, having a place to go for support, advice and information is more precious than you think.

Being able to get tailored support whatever type of cancer you are dealing with is hugely important.

We support all cancers.

The centre will be a place of support for people with any kind of cancer.

Sponsoring a room

By sponsoring a room, you will help us create a home away from home for patients and whānau who need to access cancer treatment and services in Christchurch. Often patients need to stay for long periods and having a warm and comfortable room to rest and recover in is more precious than you think. Room sponsorship rates are from $7,500 per year.

Making a donation

A $5,000 donation will help us to provide our free transport services for local patients and those needing to travel to Christchurch for treatment and support. It will also allow us to provide a shuttle service to and from Christchurch and St George’s Hospitals seven days a week from the new centre. For people having cancer treatment, not having to worry about or pay for parking is more precious than you think.

Donating your expertise

Donating your services or your products will mean that we can direct more of the funds that we raise to supporting people in the community as they deal with cancer.

Choose to sponsor one of our rooms for either a one-year or three-year term. As a room sponsor you will have naming rights to your room, both at the entrance and within the room and your generous support will be recognised in the foyer of the new centre.
