WALK-IN-INTERVIEW The West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) announces for a walk-in-interview for engagement of Junior Research Fellows for the following project: Name of Project

: Strengthening of laboratories of West Bengal Pollution Control Board under Namami Ganga Programme

Period of Engagement

: Five Years or coterminous with the project.

Number of Positions

: Junior Research Fellow – Eight (8)

Educational Qualification : M.Sc. in Chemistry with NET qualification. Remuneration

: Consolidated Pay of Rs. 32,000/- (Rupees thirty two thousand) per month.

Job Description

: Sampling and physico-chemical and microbiological/biological analysis of water (surface/ground/industrial discharge) samples and other works associated with the project as will be assigned by the Laboratory In-charge.

Working days/hours

: Engagement of the Junior Research Fellows will be on full time basis. 1000 hrs to 1750 hrs during Monday to Friday. Attending the laboratory or sampling site during holidays or beyond office hours may be required as demanded by the project work and as assigned by the Laboratory In-charge. Frequent travelling for collection of samples across the State may be required.

Other conditions

: 1. Positions are purely temporary and engagements will be made on contractual basis. 2. The engagement will be coterminous with the project. 3. The engagement can be terminated at any time with one month’s notice from either side without assigning any reason whatsoever. 4. Contractual service of the Junior Research Fellows will be governed as per norms of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. 5. This engagement will not confer any claims, rights, interests or further claims for any job or further engagement / appointment in West Bengal Pollution Control Board. The WBPCB has no obligation to extend the engagement period.

Interested and eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in-interview on 15/11/2018 reporting between 10:3011:00 hrs. at the following address with an application neatly handwritten or typed out in A4 size paper giving full bio-data (with contact phone no. and email address) with a recent passport size photograph pasted on it along with one set of self attested copies of testimonials. Candidates will have to produce the original testimonials during interview for verification.
