The Technical Research Centre (TRC), funded by the Department of Science & Technology and Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India at S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata invites applications from Indian nationals for the following posts on contractual basis: (A) Project Students: 08 position Essential Qualification: M. Sc./ M. Tech in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Applied Optics/ Photonics/ Instrumentation/ Chemistry/ Materials Science/ Electronics Science/ Biomedical Engineering/ Science. Knowledge of Computer use is essential.

Desirable: First Class/ division in qualifying degree Age Limit: The candidates should have earned qualifying degree not before 2 years from the date of advertisement.

Fellowship: Rs. 32,500/- (approximately) per month including of all allowances.

(B) Project Assistants: 08 position 1. Project Assistant: Civil – 1 post – B. E./ B. Tech. (Civil) or Diploma (Civil) with 2 yrs. experience in civil work or relevant experience.

2. Project Assistant: Electrical – 1 post – B. E. / B. Tech. (Electrical Engineering) or Diploma (Electrical Engineering) with 2 yrs. relevant experience.

3. Project Assistant: Office Assistant – 1 post – Graduation in any discipline with P.G. Diploma/ Diploma in computer application with 1 yr. relevant experience.

4. Project Assistant: – 2 post – – B. E./ B. Tech (Computer Science and Engineering/ Electronics) with 1 yr. relevant experience.

5. Project Assistant: – 3 posts – M. Sc. in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Instrumentation/ Engineering/ Science/ Biomedical with 1 yr. experience of having maintenance of sophisticated instruments or relevant experience or B. Sc. in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Instrumentation/ Engineering/ Science/ Biomedical with 3 yrs. experience of having maintenance of sophisticated instruments or relevant experience.

Desirable:

First Class in all above qualifying degree.

Age Limit:

Not more than 35 years.

Consolidated Salary: Rs. 34,000/- (approximately) per month including of all allowances.

Note:

For candidates with exceptional academic record and/or experience that are closely aligned with requirements of TRC, the age and experience may be relaxed by the competent authority. For SC, ST and OBC candidates the relaxation as per GOI rules will apply.

Period of contract will be initially for 1 (One) year. The appointment can be renewed yearly on the basis of the performance till the end of the tenure of the project.
