The project component deals with “Designing a comprehensive human-wildlife conflict (HWC) management strategy in select districts /landscapes of Uttarakhand. Ph.D., in Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Botany / Forestry Environmental Science or Management or related subjects. (Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are also eligible to apply). OR

Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Botany / Forestry /Environmental Science or Management or related subjects with at least four years of research experience Experience in assessment of human-wildlife conflicts and/or in the Himalayan region, working with stakeholders, and proven abilities of writing skills Assist faculty and experts in various activities of the project at field sites / HQ, coordinate work with team of researchers, conducting workshops, stakeholder consultations, writing reports, plans, preparation of maps, presentations and other related activities. Nine months Uttarakhand Himalayan Region Not exceeding 40 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules. Rs 48,000/- month (Consolidated)

Not exceeding 30 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules. Rs 30,000/- month (Consolidated)

General Conditions 1. The candidate should report by 0930 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 17th December, 2018, followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview. 2. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications along with certificate of extracurricular activities; date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification. 3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 4.
