DESERT MEDICINE RESEARCH CENTRE (INDIAN COUNCIL OF MEDICAL RESEARCH) New Pali Road, Jodhpur – 342 005 WALK –IN-WRITTEN TEST / PERSONAL DISCUSSION Desert Medicine Research Centre is a one of the 26 Institutes/Centres of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous body under Department of Health, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. DMRC was established in 1984 with the mandate to Undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas. Study the changing patterns of health problems especially in view of various developmental activities taking place in the region. Strengthen the scientific and technical expertise of state as well as local health agencies.
Name of the Project: Screening of Tribal Population in blocks having high prevalence for Sickle Cell Anaemia (SCA) in Tribal Sub Plan Districts of Rajasthan and implementation of intervention/counselling with existing health system (Phase II). The place of posting in this project may be at Jodhpur/Banswara/Udaipur as per the need of the project. The following posts are to be filled up on contract (purely temporary basis) for a maximum period up to May 2019.
Duration: May 2019 1) Post: Project Assistant: 01 Post (UR-1) Age Limit: Not exceeding, 30 years. Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month (Consolidated). Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Life Science from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in Zoology/ Bio-Technology/ BioChemistry from the recognized University. Nature of Job: To assist in execution of research studies which will include field survey work also and any other work assigned. Note: Experience will be considered after achieving the eligible qualification. 2) Post: Technician-III: 02 Posts (UR-1, SC-1) Age Limit: Not exceeding, 30 years. Salary: Rs. 18000/- per month (Consolidated) Essential Qualification: 12th pass in science subject and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory/Technician OR one year DMLT Plus one year experience in a recognized organization OR 2 years field/laboratory experience in Govt. recognized organization. Note:- a. B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as 3 years experience. b. Experience will be considered after achieving the eligible qualification. Nature of job: To assist in execution of research studies which will include field survey work also and any other work assigned. 3) Post: Health Assistant: 04 Posts (UR-3, OBC-1) Age Limit: Not exceeding, 28 years Salary: Rs. 17000/- per month (Consolidated). Essential Qualifications: High School or equivalent with five years experience in research/health related field from a government institution of recognized institute or CMLT/DMLT certificate of one year training in the relevant area.
